I was contacted by Lloyds Pharmacy asking me to recreate one of my favourite catwalk make-up looks from the S/S14 shows, using products from their website. I opted for a bold New York Fashion Week creation by MAC Cosmetics.

I really love strong and adventurous eyes, and instantly fell in love with this model’s make-up. I’m going to show you the products from Lloyds Pharmacy that i’ve used to do this look at low cost.

For my base I have used Garnier’s Skin Naturals Miracle Skin Perfector in Light (£9.99) to give a natural finish; with Max Factor’s Creme Puff in Truly Fair (£5.99) for my t-zone areas.

Now for the eyes- for the gold stripe, I have used Korres’ Shimmering Eyeshadow in Gold Bronze (£12) and on the lid I have used N.Y.C’s City Mono Eyeshadow 912 5th Avenue (£1.79). For the bottom lash liner, I have used Max Factor’s Max Effect Dip-In Eyeliner in Vibrant Turquoise (£5.99); and on the top lash line I have used Max Factor’s Glide & Define Liquid Liner in Black (£6.99). The mascara I have used to create the dramatic lashes is Rimmel Volume Flash Waterproof X10 in 001 Black (£5.99).

I’ve popped a bit of Max Factor Flawless Perfection Blush in Chestnut (£6.99) on my cheeks and the natural Rimmel Stay Glossy Lipgloss in Glamour (£6.29) on my lips.

Do you love this look too?

With news just out that Aromatherapy Associates are collaborating with British Airways by giving First Class long-haul passengers skin essential kits featuring moisturiser and eye serum, I thought i’d share with you a current Aromatherapy Associates favourite of mine that’s perfect for long-haul travel.

Revive Body Gel is such a fabulous gel for muscle aches. My anti-depressant tablets give me leg muscle pain/cramps, and applying this cooling, soothing gel really helps. It smells great too.

It contains Grapefruit, Rosemary, Juniper, Pine and Damask Rose Water, and helps improve and maintain healthy circulation. It is also very cooling, and helps to even out skin tone and texture after massaging it in. For me, I use it as a cooling, refreshing and circulation-improving treat for my legs and ankles, and for that it works wonders. I can’t vouch for its cellulite-busting properties.

It would be amazing on long-haul flights, as you can apply it over tights/stockings to cool and improve circulation.

If you got the latest Birchbox, you would have received a travel-size version of this. The full-size version i’ve been using and have photographed is £31 from Aromatherapy Associates.

Company Magazine’s January 2014 issue (available on 11th December 2013) will be rather different from their usual.

Company are relocating their entire editorial team to Google’s London headquarters to put together the issue, and give Company fans like me unprecedented access to what goes on at Google, and a huge say in what goes into the issue.

They will be holding a Google Hangout on 24th October at 7pm, so that you the readers can pitch ideas of what you want to see in the pages of the January 2014 issue. They will then be making full use of Google’s social inventions by hosting further Google hangouts throughout that week featuring much-loved YouTubers.

I can’t wait to see this issue!

Recently I attended the House of Fraser A/W13 Press Day in Glasgow to have a peek at the new season’s offerings. I left with major handbag lust! I thought i’d share some of my favourite fashion and accessory pieces from the showcase…

This cute bright pink DKNY crossbody bag MUST be mine. I adore it.

How cute is this lipstick-print sweatshirt from Worn By?

This green Marc Jacobs bag is so elegant and timeless. I need it in my life.

I love the mixture of the dainty floral chiffon with the harder black leather collar and trim on this Lashes blouse.

This exquisite Alexander McQueen blouse/shirtdress is perfect for the tartan and punk trends. Just throw it on over some leggings or tights and add a belt.

What will you be buying?

I went shopping in Silverburn the other day, and came out with quite a few make-up and skincare goodies. I also had some deliveries from online shopping too; so I thought i’d share some of my new treats with you. I’ll do fuller reviews on some of them later once i’ve used them for a while.

MAC Face & Body Foundation 50ml, £21.50, Debenhams
This is a really runny foundation; but can be built up to the coverage level you need. It’s great for creating a more even skintone on pasty legs like mine. I’m not a frequent fake-tanner!

MAC Vanilla Pigment, £17, Debenhams
I bet I would struggle to find one of you who has not heard of this. It is such a versatile product and a little goes a long way. It is a gorgeous shimmery pearl-coloured powder that is an amazing highlighter and eyeshadow base. You can also fix some in with foundation for a luminous complexion.

MAC Travel Bottles, £4, Debenhams
I got some of these to mix a couple of my foundations together in so I can get the shade I want.

Dead Sea Spa Magik Night Cream, £8.50, Debenhams
I bought this on a whim as I needed a new night cream. Instead of buying more L’Occitane Immortelle at £  , I thought i’d try this as i’ve read some good reviews on it. I’ve used it for a couple of nights now and it’s nowhere near as nourishing; but i’ll update you when i’ve been using it for a while.

Scholl Dry Skin Daily Foot Moisturiser, £4.99, Boots
I adore the smell of the Scholl foot creams. I’ve never looked after my feet, so I thought i’d start now. I had a sample sachet of this, and loved the scent so much I had to have more.

Bare Minerals ‘The Love Affair’ Luminizer Powder, £19.99,
This is such a nice highlighting powder. It looks great dusted gently all over the face for a ‘candlelight’ glow, and also just along the cheek and brow bones. You save quite a bit off the RRP of £26 by buying from Chemist Direct online too.

As you may already know, I have the evening part of a wedding to attend at the end of next week. I’m currently hunting for a dress to match my new red Duo Boots wedges. It’s much harder choosing a dress to match shoes than it is the other way around.

I want something elegant and smart; not sparkly or garish, that sits just at the knee. I am ashamed to say that this will be the first wedding I have been to since I was a child. I was at my own wedding (obviously) but we didn’t have an evening event, and i’m the only one of my friends who is married, so i’m a tad clueless as to what is ideal to wear.

I’ve been having a look in Glasgow’s high streets and department stores but haven’t seen anything that I think is just right. So, i’ve taken to the internet and have found a couple of perfect wedding party dresses to choose from.

I love this dress from Dress First. Brown isn’t a colour I would normally go for; but this one is just so pretty and goes perfectly with my shoes. I think it’s a great choice to bring in Autumn also.

This floral one from is also a winner for me. It’s a great dark floral for Autumn/Winter. I’m very much wanting to get away from Summer dressing now. I adore the contrast between the lace and floral prints., and quite like the idea of teaming it with some dark tights.

Which one should I go for? The plain or the patterned? Leave me comments below. I’d also love to see some of your wedding party looks- tweet me photos at @LPearsonSmith.

Now, I am not a massive fan of cooking- too much hassle. What could be easier, however, than just throwing some vegetables, chicken and noodles in a wok and frying with a little oil. It takes no time at all, and I just add a yummy packet stir-fry sauce in the last minute or two to coat everything.

I’ve just got a new 12” Green Earth Wok by Ozeri. It’s currently on sale at Amazon for just £36.95. It is a dream to cook with, as it’s scratch-resistant and so easy to clean (who likes doing dishes?!). It’s really heavy and made of high-quality non-toxic pure aluminium and ceramic.

If you are a keen cook, or want to have a go at cooking your own stir-fry, i’d thoroughly recommend this beast of a wok!
