Launching on 20th January, is the exciting perfume and macaron collaboration between Nina Ricci and macaroon kings Laduree.
Both brands were set up with the challenge of creating a matching perfume and macaron; each bearing the characteristics of the other.
The result is La Tentation de Nina, a scent of grapefruit with Italian bergamot and Bourbon vanilla, with sandalwood and white musk. The macaroon-inspired element is brought in with raspberry, lemon, rose and almond notes.
The accompanying pink and gold leaf macaron combines raspberries, lemons, roses and almonds. I’m a bit nervous at trying such a multi-flavoured macaron, especially as I hate anything that tastes of flowers; but this is such as exciting experiment that I need to give it a go.
