How Next Went From Fashion Outsider To High-street Heavyweight (The Guardian) - It was announced this week that UK high-street clothing and home chain Next have experienced a significant increase in annual profits, and are set to have made more profits that retail giant Marks & Spencer. I really like Next’s fashion offerings now; but I never used to. It was once all about tailored suits and practical shoes, along with ‘mumsy’ jersey floral t-shirts. Lately, however, Next has been paying attention to the catwalks and are embracing more trends. It looks like their new fashion-forward approach has reaped benefits.
