I’ve been quite busy over the last fortnight; but have also had some great rest and relaxation time too.

I went to see Miranda Hart’s live show at Glasgow’s Hydro. She is my favourite comedienne, and I really enjoyed seeing her live. The best bits were where she interacted with audience members, as some of the scripted jokes were quite stilted and you knew she was doing them night after night. I really hope we get another Miranda TV series.

Last week I went to the Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa in Edinburgh for a night. I completely fell in love with their outdoor rooftop hydropool, and also the orange-scented shower that’s part of the thermal experience. I was lucky enough to have access to the hotel’s Club Lounge on the top floor too, and enjoyed complimentary drinks and canapes there.

As a huge Disney fan, I only finally got round to watching Saving Mr Banks this weekend. I loved it. It tells the story of Mary Poppins’ author P.L.Traver’s life and how the film was made by Walt Disney Studios. I found it touching, humourous and entertaining.
