So, last week was my 30th birthday. Not sure how I feel about that yet.

On the day of my birthday, in the afternoon, I gorged on my yummy cake that I had made by a local baker. I wanted a three-layer cake with passionfruit buttercream, raspberry buttercream and covered in vanilla buttercream. It was delicious and exactly how I wanted it.

I also opened my family presents. I’m not going to show you everything- just a few of my favourites. I am in love with my new gold Kate Space Grammercy watch with pink second hand from Selfridges. It needs two links removed as it’s too big, so I haven’t been able to wear it out yet; but I can’t wait.

I also got a very heavy Kate Spade paperclip that’s engraved with ‘Keep It Together’, which I adore too. Also on the stationery theme, I got a fuschia pink crystal pen from Swarovski. It’s so pretty!

For dinner, I went to the new NY American Grill in Princes Square in Glasgow. We had a great booth right at the back in the corner that was private and secluded. I drank way too many cocktails, and had the best calamari i’ve ever eaten. The food and service is amazing- you need to check it out.

On the day after my birthday, I had my oldest school friends round bright and early at 9.30am to go for a spa day. I got some lovely presents from them- jewellery, Disney goodies and White Company candles.

At the day spa (15 Royal Terrace in Glasgow) I had a Decleor Aromaplasty Facial and an Indian Head Massage, followed by a great afternoon tea. We then went home and watched the Richard Curtis romantic comedy About Time. It has a weird concept; but was actually very enjoyable.
