Tallia Storm in New York

These sunglasses that Scottish singer/songwriter Tallia Storm was spotted wearing in New York this week are stunning, and perfect for shielding your eyes from the glare of the Winter Sun.

Oxford Vaughan SpeedBird Mach 2 Sunglasses

They are Oxford Vaughan's SpeedBird Mach 2 platinum-plated lens sunglasses with 21k gold frames. Oxford Vaughan say "each piece in the Oxford Vaughan collection is individually hand-crafted over 140 stages of precision engineering, using aircraft-grade titanium, the finest acetates, Zeiss lenses and some of the most luxurious precious metals in the world". However at £1,750 a pair, I won't be buying them anytime soon. Anyone know any good dupes?

Ballerina flat gods French Sole have branched further out into the accessories sphere by launching a scarf collection.

The cream scarves are a fine blend of cashmere and wool, with hand-drawn shoes illustrations by French Sole founder Jane Winkworth (from her past 25 years of shoe design) and contrasting coloured borders. What's great too, is that they are all designed and made in Britain. They will be priced at £125 each, and available to buy online at French Sole now.

Argh! I'm so frustrated right now. I'm on the hunt for a new pair of basic black knee-high  (or maybe just mid calf-high) boots for the colder weather. I had found the perfect pair (for a bargainous £20 from Very here; but the first of the two calf sizes I tried was too wide, and the second was too narrow)- so that's them out of the picture.

I can't be bothered to physically trek round the shops in the cold; which is why I love online shopping so much. However, dare I risk having to return a third pair of boots? It might be easier to just go with a mid calf-high option, and that would rule out the problem altogether.

Oh the decisions! Since i'm trawling online shoe stores, I thought i'd share my favourite boot finds with you...

Bargain home decor and lifestyle store group Wilko has some great Christmas room decorations and parcel wrapping essentials this year, and they are all organised into different themes. I popped into their Christmas press day, so I wanted to share my favourite styles with you.

Pixie is a cute, almost child-like theme of red, white and pastel blue. It has bold and simple prints such as polka dots and often playful hand-written typography. This would be great in a child's bedroom- keeping it bright and cheerful but also adding the festive element too.

Their Wild Wood theme focuses on all things natural. The colour palette of browns, creams and reds, are perfectly suited to the rustic textures and nature elements such as wood, twigs and hessian. Think owls, stags and other woodland creatures, with a bit of traditional folk print thrown in. I see Christmases spent in Swiss wood cabins when I look at this collection.

Odyssey is the luxurious theme. Think of magical underwater lands filled with iridescent purples, blues, greens and pearls. Everything shimmers and sparkles with rich tones and metallic finishes. If The Little Mermaid did Christmas, it would look like this.

Which look would you go for?

Earlier this year, I went to The White Company's Christmas press show. They took over a suite at London's luxury hotel The Rosewood, and transformed it into a perfect Christmas Day home.

Everything in the multi-roomed suite is The White Company; from the sofas to the glasses, and it looked wonderful. I loved the neutral colour scheme of white and cream with luxurious metallics and mirrored surfaces. They had literally thought of everything, including having Breakfast At Tiffany's and Miracle on 34th Street playing on the television screens.

I defy any of you to not want your Christmas Day to look like this!

A couple of weeks ago, I held an intimate and exclusive beauty blogger sleepover event with some of my blogger buddies.

Myself, The Sunday Girl, Beauty Aesthetic, Glasgow Beauty Blogger, Beauty H2T and Rose Keats descended on luxury serviced apartments, the Fraser Suites, for a night of girly chat, beauty treatments and yummy treats.

So many brands were keen to get involved with #bloggerbeautysleep, so I spent the morning of the event receiving deliveries and picking up cakes. In the afternoon, I arrived at our gorgeous Fraser Suite apartments to set up for the girls arriving.

Benefit Cosmetics (some lovely Benebabes from Glasgow's Benefit Boutique in House of Fraser) provided our beauty treatments on the night. We had a station where brow waxes and tints were taking place, and a bedroom for facials with Benefit's skincare products. We were also among the first people ever to try Benefit Cosmetics' upcoming product release Puff Off! You can read my post on that new product HERE.

Dominos Pizza provided lots of delicious pizza for the evening, along with two of their brand new products (a week before their general release)- Mac & Cheese Bites and Doughnuts. The doughnuts were amazing and tasted liked homemade, just fried ones.

We had lots of other sweet treats too- a stunning vanilla buttercream and fresh berry gateaux was made by Whole Foods in Giffnock on Glasgow's Southside; and super-cute, party-perfect cupcake pops were made by CakeCetera. Their chocolate cake pops were heavenly, and the best chocolate cake i've had in a long time.

We had lots to drink thanks to Whole Food's own brand prosecco (which was really nice) and fancy fizzy drinks from Fentimans. The Fentimans' Curiosity Cola and Dandelion & Burdock were the most popular thirst-quenchers. I also made a homemade rum punch with strawberry juice, rum and a tropical fruit juice, and this went down a treat.

We stayed up chatting life and beauty, and eating, until nearly 3am; all to the scent of Shearer Candles' dreamy Persian Lime candles.

I am so proud that I managed to put this event together and that everyone seemed to enjoy it so much. Thanks to all the girls for coming, and I hope you liked your Benefit Cosmetics' shower caps and make-up bags that were on your pillows.

I'm not a big alcohol drinker; but at Christmas-time I do like to indulge a bit in my favourites- Christmas cocktails or peach Archers with lemonade. Who doesn't love a seasonal themed cocktail?! I know I do. So, when I found out that online Christmas card and gift store Christmas Connections had teamed up with the Cord Bar in Manchester's Northern Quarter to create some Christmas-themed cocktails in a series of online cocktail masterclass videos, I just had to share my favourite recipe with you...

Santa Baby Cocktail

Christmas Cocktail Recipe For Santa Baby

12.5ml Cherry Brandy

12.5ml Amaretto

25ml Cranberry Juice

5ml Sugar Syrup

Preparation Time – 5 minutes

Time To Make – 2 Minutes
Total Time – 7 Minutes
Serves – 1

This tastes just like Christmas cake, and is a yummy mix of cherry, Amaretto and brandy. A real Winter warmer! To find out how to mix the ingredients together to create this delicious treat, make it step-by-step alongside the video masterclass below...

They also created online cocktail masterclasses videos for more Christmas-themed alcoholic cocktails and a great festive non-alcoholic mocktail too. You can find these recipes and videos on their blog. Remember to always drink responsibly, and to never drink alcohol and drive. What tipples will you be enjoying this Christmas?

The Too Faced Under The Mistletoe set (£27 from Debenhams) contains three full-sized exclusive shimmering versions of their lipsticks in pretty pink shades, and the sparkliest make-up bag you've ever seen. I did a full-review of the set HERE last week.

5. Kate Spade has just opened a UK version of her online store, and it has free shipping. Her envelope-style crossbody Cedar Street Large Monday bag (£165) is practical and stylish at the same time.

6. Help them to stay organised with a pretty diary from Smythson. The Smythson 2015 Fashion Diary  (£140) can hold all their appointments as well as listing all the year's important fashion calendar events for you.

It's not often I want a whole collection of bags; but literary-loving French designer Olympia Le-Tan's Disney collection is stunning. Who doesn't love a good Disney collaboration?!

Olympia Le-Tan Disney Alice In Wonderland Bag

Olympia Le-Tan Disney Alice In Wonderland Bag

There are 77 pieces in her collection, from clutches to crossbody and shoulder bags; each depicting a scene from Disney movie classics such as Alice In Wonderland, Sleeping and Snow White. I do love a bit of Alice, and think these would be perfect Spring-time accessories.

My favourite bags in the collection are the book cover clutches. The Alice In Wonderland ones must be mine; but at $1,335 each, I may have to wait a while.

Benefit Cosmetics' Puff Off! isn't going on sale until 31st January 2015. However, I managed to get my hands on one last night, and my first impressions are that it's amazing.

It's an eye gel that can be applied under or over make-up to fill in fine lines and de-puff the under-eye area. The applicator is a cute metal iron-shaped tip, which is very cooling when applied.

I just couldn't wait to show you this, so this is more of a first exclusive peek photo post than an actual review.
