Too Faced have recently launched two more mascara products - a waterproof version of their cult Better Than Sex Mascara and an innovative mascara remover in wand form. I wanted to test them out and share my thoughts on them with you.
The Too Faced Mascara Melt Off Cleansing Oil Waterproof Mascara Dissolver (£14 from Debenhams) is extremely effective at removing regular and waterproof mascaras. It has a ribbed wand shaped design that you brush over your lashes like you would a mascara, and wiggle into the roots. The oil is very gentle and conditions your lashes as well as cleaning them. I love this as it dissolves your mascara without the need for the usual rubbing and dragging of the delicate skin around your eyes. I then just gently wipe over them with a cotton pad to remove the excess. To keep the product clean, I'd recommend you wipe down the wand after each use before putting it back into the tube.
The Too Faced Better Than Sex Waterproof Mascara (£19 from Debenhams) has the best packaging I have ever seen. It is covered in 3D clear plastic splatters to look like water drops - so pretty! It has the same dense thick, bristled, hourglass-shaped brush as the original Better Than Sex mascara and it gives you the same thick, clumpy (in a good way), voluminous lashes as the original. It is a lot heavier on the lashes however, and as it lengthens too, it really weighs mine down - which is what you would expect from a waterproof mascara. It's not as good as the original Better Than Sex Mascara, but if you are on holiday and need the waterproof element, or just the added staying power, this is a good 2nd choice.
What do you think of these products?
