There are so many beauty subscription boxes in the UK now, and they vary greatly in quality and price. I was invited by Look Incredible to experience their October Deluxe Beauty Box - one of the pricier subscription boxes on the market. I was so impressed, so I just had to share it with you. This box is such good value for money, and if you are a beauty junkie, you'll adore it.

I know, I know, I don't actually need anymore skincare, but I love to keep trying and discovering new things - especially in winter when my skin needs extra pampering. I was telling L'Occitane how much I wanted to try their Shea Ultra Rich Comforting Face Cream and they asked me to share that with you, along with all the other skincare products currently on my wishlist for this winter.
I hadn't heard of the Moi-Même Box until they kindly asked me if I wanted to experience receiving one myself. These quarterly lifestyle boxes are full of beautiful beauty, fashion and lifestyle items that are tailored to your favourite colours, scents and skin type. These boxes are such a great gift to buy for yourself, for some much-needed 'me time'.

This is a cake of my own invention, but it's based loosely on an amazing cake I had from Three Sister's Bake and the current trend of baking with the retro Caramac chocolate bars. I haven't had Caramac for decades, but I used to love it - when I was little, I had a bar every week when my Mum took me swimming. This cake is obscenely sweet, but it's heavenly. One of the reasons I decided to make this cake is because Debenhams challenged me to get baking with their Jamie Oliver range of bakeware.

Last month, I was invited to the The Academy of Makeup Scotland to attend a gory special effects makeup masterclass with TV & Film makeup artist Sophie Edwards. I just had to share her 'Chelsea Smile' tutorial with you as the final look is amazing.

I'm heading to the hairdressers on Wednesday to get a hair transformation, and I'm pretty sure it's going to need to involve bleach again. I've been repairing my hair slowly for a year now, following an at-home bleaching disaster, so over the last few weeks in particular, I've been making sure that my hair is as strong and conditioned as it can possibly be before going to the salon. I wanted to share wit you the few products that I've been relying on.

Dirt cheap face masks like the new Garnier Moisture Bomb Tissue Mask (£0.99 from Boots) don't usually perform that well. Yes, they are a relaxing experience, but you don't usually get any serious skincare benefits from them. This one, however, is different story.

This is both a crafty tutorial and an introduction to a new craft subscription box. I was sent September's Makerly Stitch-Up Box* (£12pm from Makerly) and when I opened it, I was so impressed. Each month you get selection of sewing supplies, fabrics and embellishments to create a specific project (for which you receive instructions and templates).

When it comes to this time of year, I love getting my home all cosy and seasonal. I like to make changes to all the rooms in my house, but my living room is my main focus as this is where I spend most of my time. Fishpools asked me to share my favourite of their sofas with you and style it in a mood board with other home accessories.
