CHARLOTTE TILBURY PRETTY YOUTH GLOW FILTER

Charlotte Tilbury Pretty Youth Glow Filter

I love the Charlotte Tilbury brand, so I’m always excited to try out a new launch. She has just brought out new cream blusher duos called Pretty Youth Glow Filter* (£30 from Charlotte Tilbury). They are inspired by social media filters that give you that pretty cheek flush and glow. They are so quick and easy to use, and I think you’ll fall in love as soon as you try them.

There are two shade combos of the new Pretty Youth Glow Filter – Seduce Blush (a nude pink blush with a champagne rose highlighter) and Pretty Fresh (a coral pink blush with a pearlescent pink highlighter). The idea is that you can use both of these together to give your cheeks a flush of colour, and your cheekbones a bit of glow. They blend in beautifully and are very natural in finish. The coloured blusher section has a cream to powder finish, and they blur the skin too, to create a perfected look. You can also build up the colour intensity very easily, to suit your own tastes.

If you get the Cheek Hug brush (get it in a set with a duo for £45) that has been designed for these new duos, you can pick up the colour from the two pans at once (due to the brush’s unique shape) and then deposit the product where it’s intended to go on your face. The tip of the brush will highlight your cheekbones, and the bottom of the brush will colour your cheeks. I don’t use the brush this way – I just use it to blend in the colour part of the duo, as it’s such an amazing brush. I then pat on the highlighter (which has pretty pearl pigments) with my fingertips, as I feel that this gives me more control.

These products arrived on my doorstep at exactly the right time. I am loving the ‘no makeup makeup’ look at the moment, whilst I’m working in a TV drama production office, and these blush duos compliment that perfectly. I’m only wearing a light layer of foundation (sponged on), concealer, blusher, Illamasqua Radiance Veil, lip gloss and a brow gel on a daily basis at the moment. I’m letting all my freckles (from this burst of sunshine we’ve been having) shine through too. I also had my lashes tinted black, which defines them, but doesn’t give them a mascara’d look. Seduce Blush is the perfect shade for this.

Cream blushers are perfect for the summer months of the year, when you want to keep your skin as fresh as possible. If it’s in your budget to pick up one of these, I’d definitely recommend them. You only need to use the smallest amount of product each time too, so they’ll last a very long time.
