I went on a trip to London for the day with my friend Adrienne from The Sunday Girl blog to do some Christmas In July press days- The White Company, Wilkos & Pegasus PR.
The displays got me feeling all festive, and I can’t wait to share my favourite Christmas product releases with you later in the year.
We also managed to fit in dinner at Five Guys (my first experience), and some mocktails at the Benefit Cosmetics’ World Cup pop-up pub Gabbi’s Head.
In Five Guys I had a Little Cheeseburger with Little Fries- more than enough for one person, and despite the bottomless soda machine having over 100 varieties, I opted for a good old Diet Coke.
At the very pink Gabbi’s Head pub I had my eyebrows waxed and tinted for a £5 donation to Refuge, and my favourite Benebabe Claire (Benefit’s Events Coordinator) treated us to yummy raspberry mocktails- as we weren’t drinking due to the lengthy train journey ahead of us.
After London, I took a week’s holiday from my blog, digital magazine, freelance writing commissions and social media, so that I could relax and clear my head, and I baked some deliciously-rich chocolate fairy cakes, which were gone by the next day.
