There is nothing more relaxing for me than a steaming hot bath with something stunningly-scented added to it. I’m a big fan of Lush, and I recently popped into a store and picked up a haul of bath bombs and bath melts. Some of them are old favourites i’ve tried before, and some are brand new discoveries.
Granny Takes A Dip , £3.25
I’ve reviewed this Summer 2014 release before. I loved it and so wanted another. It dissolves into a real ’60s hippie swirl of colours, and I find it really refreshing after a hot day. It’s supposed to smell of lemon and ginger; but I can’t put a description to what I smell.
Dreamtime Bath Melt, £3.25
This was my first try of this product. It’s a cocoa butter melt bar that’s scented with lavender and chamomile oils to relax your mind and moisturise your skin. I found that it moisturised well; but I was disappointed by the weak strength of the scent- I could hardly smell it. I won’t be repurchasing this, as i’d rather use a strong-smelling bath bomb and then just apply a moisturiser.
Mmmelting Marshmallow Moment Bath Melt, £3.95
This super-sweet smelling bath melt looks like a giant pink marshmallow. The sugary scent reminds me a lot of Lush’s Rock Star Soap and Snow Fairy Shower Gel. It’s soothing on the skin and very moisturising, and feels like you are bathing in candy floss.
Twilight Bath Bomb, £3.25
This is my favourite of all Lush’s bath products, and I can’t count the amount of times i’ve repurchased it (and its Halloween-release Twilight Shower Gel). It has a very deep musky and malty scent of Lavender, which instantly sends me into a dream-like state. This is definitely a before bed product. The gentle purple colour it turns your bath water is so relaxing too.
Butterball Bath Bomb, £2.50
This is the first time i’d tried this white bath bomb that contains cocoa butter pieces which dissolve to nourish and moisturise your skin. It’s a real delight to float in the buttery bath it creates. It’s scented with ylang-ylang which is very calming too. I find this a real treat for body and mind, and i’ll definitely be buying another.
I also bought the £1 Lush Charity Pot at the till point to help their good causes. It’s a hand and body moisturiser which has the same scent as the new Summer 2014 release African Paradise Body Conditioner (which has a strong and muddy scent).
