A couple of weeks ago, I held an intimate and exclusive beauty blogger sleepover event with some of my blogger buddies.
Myself, The Sunday Girl, Beauty Aesthetic, Glasgow Beauty Blogger, Beauty H2T and Rose Keats descended on luxury serviced apartments, the Fraser Suites, for a night of girly chat, beauty treatments and yummy treats.
So many brands were keen to get involved with #bloggerbeautysleep, so I spent the morning of the event receiving deliveries and picking up cakes. In the afternoon, I arrived at our gorgeous Fraser Suite apartments to set up for the girls arriving.
Benefit Cosmetics (some lovely Benebabes from Glasgow’s Benefit Boutique in House of Fraser) provided our beauty treatments on the night. We had a station where brow waxes and tints were taking place, and a bedroom for facials with Benefit’s skincare products. We were also among the first people ever to try Benefit Cosmetics’ upcoming product release Puff Off! You can read my post on that new product HERE.
Dominos Pizza provided lots of delicious pizza for the evening, along with two of their brand new products (a week before their general release)- Mac & Cheese Bites and Doughnuts. The doughnuts were amazing and tasted liked homemade, just fried ones.
We had lots of other sweet treats too- a stunning vanilla buttercream and fresh berry gateaux was made by Whole Foods in Giffnock on Glasgow’s Southside; and super-cute, party-perfect cupcake pops were made by CakeCetera. Their chocolate cake pops were heavenly, and the best chocolate cake i’ve had in a long time.
We had lots to drink thanks to Whole Food’s own brand prosecco (which was really nice) and fancy fizzy drinks from Fentimans. The Fentimans’ Curiosity Cola and Dandelion & Burdock were the most popular thirst-quenchers. I also made a homemade rum punch with strawberry juice, rum and a tropical fruit juice, and this went down a treat.
We stayed up chatting life and beauty, and eating, until nearly 3am; all to the scent of Shearer Candles’ dreamy Persian Lime candles.
I am so proud that I managed to put this event together and that everyone seemed to enjoy it so much. Thanks to all the girls for coming, and I hope you liked your Benefit Cosmetics’ shower caps and make-up bags that were on your pillows.
