Meet last month’s beauty favourites with some sweets thrown in. I’ve been using and loving these products throughout November, and there are no signs of me removing them from my make-up bag anytime soon…
Mary Kay Translucent Loose Powder, £18
I’ve been using this on an almost daily basis to set my make-up (which it does really well), and it has been literally amazing at controlling shine. It’s just one of those really basic but essential products that does its job perfectly.
Bare Minerals Marvelous Moxie Lipstick in Lead The Way, £16
I’ve raved about the Bare Minerals Marvelous Moxie lipsticks before- they are highly pigmented and incredibly moisturising (which has been great in this cold weather). If you want lips that pack a punch this party season, this deep purple berry shade is the one to go for.
The Body Shop Lip & Cheek Doll, £8
This has been my daytime lip for weeks now. It is a perfectly stubborn lip stain; not dissimilar to Benefit’s Benetint except for a bit of added sparkle. I find it has just a bit too much sparkle to work on my cheeks; but it is ideal for my lips, and i’ve been teaming it with a heavy smokey eye. It has been so popular that it has sold out online; but your local store may still have some.
Bah Humbugs Retro Sweet Bucket, £5.95
I’ve been eating enough Refreshers and Drumstick lollies to stick my teeth together. These buckets are full of my favourite childhood sweets such as Fruit Salads and Love Hearts, and would make an ideal Christmas gift. I think i’ll just get another one for myself though!
