As you’ll know, if you’ve been reading this blog for a while, I am a self-confessed cute stationery addict. I regularly browse the #stationery hashtag on Instagram to drool over people’s purchases, and have been admiring the offerings from HEMA for a while. What I didn’t know though, until I went on the HEMA website, was just how cheap everything is (all around £1); so I just had to put in an order to check them out. All in the name of research, of course.
I was really impressed when it arrived (except with one item, that I’ll explain later). It’s such amazing value, and I’ll definitely be buying some more from them soon.
I got two paper & envelope writing sets (six sheets, six envelopes and stickers) for £1 each. They are excellent quality and very detailed, and I would have happily paid £1 for just one sheet of the paper and one envelope.
I also got a notecard writing set for £1, as I loved the neon colour theme. It comes with two notecards, two envelopes, tags and super-cute stickers.
I carried on the neon theme with more stickers at £1 per set. You get two sheets in each pack for this price, which is amazing value. I can’t wait to send some of these to my #happymail friends in California. I also got pretty gold glitter stickers (again a pack of two sheets) for just 50p- you can’t go wrong at this price!
Finally, I couldn’t put in a stationery order without ordering some more washi tape, and this set of skinny ones was also just £1. There are three designs- pink checks, pink ‘tralala’ music notes and green stripes.
I also ordered a pack of three rollerball stampers for £1. They are meant to print a design in neon pink when you roll them over paper; however, none of mine worked and one even snapped off. This was the purchase that I was most excited about too, which is a shame. I contacted HEMA, and they are processing a £1 refund for me. At such low prices, I suppose you have to expect something to not quite be up to scratch.
Have you ordered any stationery from HEMA before? What do you recommend I try next?
