I can’t believe it’s May already- my birthday month! As always, here are my favourite beauty products that I enjoyed, and used religiously, last month.
Laura Mercier Illuminating Eye Colour in Sunglow, £18.50, Urban Retreat Boutique
I love this gorgeous gold eyeshadow as it has such a creamy powder formula that applies so smoothly and pigmented. It has a lovely glistening pearl finish too. I know this is expensive for a single eyeshadow, but it really is so beautiful if you want to treat yourself.
Balance Me Cleanse & Smooth Face Balm, £20, Balance Me
This hot cloth cleanser (which comes with a lovely cloth) is a delight to use. It deeply cleanses and nourishes normal/dry skin, and has a rich oily texture. My face feels so deeply cleansed and refreshed after using this, and it’s great at removing makeup. It is also a gentle exfoliator too, to add radiance.
Barry M All In One Clear Basecoat, Topcoat & Nail Hardender, £4, Very
I think, at long last, I have found my perfect clear nail polish top coat. I’ve only been using this as a top coat, and it gives my nail polish amazing lasting power. 7 days after applying, I only have the tiniest wear on the tips of my nails. It has a brilliant glossy finish too. This is just a definite winner for me, and a bargain too.
Bourjois Instant Dry Nail Drops, £7, Very
If there is something I really hate about my beauty routine, it’s waiting on my nails to dry. I can’t stand it, and always smudge at least one out of impatience. With this product, you just apply one drop, using the built-in pipette, onto the newly applied nail polish on the surface of your nail- it quickly speeds up the drying time and makes it touch-dry just about instantly.
Burberry Kisses Lipstick in 109 Military Red, £25, Net-a-Porter
I got this free miniature Burberry Kisses lipstick sample from their huge social media campaign, and it’s an exact replica of the full-size; right down to the snappy magnetic lid, the logo embossing on the bullet and the luxury mini box it comes in. The colour is a gorgeous bright pink-toned red, and it’s highly pigmented and creamy. I find that it is really moisturising on my lips too, and is very long-wearing; which is exactly what I want from a bold statement lip.
Have you tried any of these?
