BEAUTY REVIEW: URBAN DECAY SUMMER 2015 RELEASES

May 19, 2015 in BEAUTY, Uncategorized

    Urban Decay Summer 2015

I wanted to show you some bits I got from the Urban Decay Summer 2015 Collection as they are so pretty. I have one of the new Afterglow 8-Hour Powder Blushers (£19), one of the new eyeshadow shades (£14) and one of the new Revolution High-Colour Lipglosses (£15).

The Afterglow 8-Hour Powder Blush shade I have is Rapture. I definitely think this is one of the nicest and most wearable out of the 12 shades available. Rapture is a deep mauve with traces of shimmer. I love it as it’s not too pink (I have so many bright pink blushers) and quite muted, and the light shimmer highlights my cheekbones nicely. The powder-formula is silky, very pigmented and long-lasting (I wore it all day). It’s supposed to make you look like you’re lit from within- what does this even mean?! However, it does look natural and very pretty on my skin, and that’s all I ask for.

I’m not the hugest lip gloss fan. I wear them sometimes; but I normally always reach for a lipstick or tinted lip balm first. Just like the Urban Decay Naked Lipglosses however, I do really like this new Revolution High-Colour one. It packs a punch colour-wise, and the formula is really creamy without being sticky. There are 14 shades, and I have Quiver- a medium rose-pink. I like this as you only need one light coat, and it has excellent staying power.

Finally, the eyeshadow shade I have is Beware. This shade has been released before; but it has now been made part of the permanent line-up. Beware is a light brown matte eyeshadow. It’s not a colour I’d really wear on its own, purely down to my skin tone; but it does make a good base for other shadows, or as part of a daytime smokey eye look. Urban Decay eyeshadows are always winners in my book as they are so pigmented, velvety and blendable.

Do you like the look of any of these?
