The packaging on new brand Bagsy’s products is so beautiful- pretty prints and inspirational quotes adorn the cardboard boxes. I just couldn’t resist them! Inside, the products themselves are either slim or compact in size, as the whole Bagsy range is designed to be handbag friendly. As well as being portable in design, the makeup itself is very often multi-use; freeing up even more space.
I have been using four products from the range, and I love them all. They are really high quality, but perhaps could do with being lower in price since the products are smaller than average.
First up, their bronzer Ray of Sunshine Perfect Glow Bronzing Powder (£18, but currently on Feel Unique for £12) comes in two shades- Light/Medium and Medium Dark. I have the Light/Medium, and it is very light, which is great. If you have a ‘Snow White’ complexion like me and find most bronzers too dark or muddy-looking, this may just be the one for you. This pressed powder bronzer is matte, well pigmented and easy to blend; so perfect for contouring.
I also have the Beautiful Eyes 24 Hour Eye Colour cream eyeshadow pencil in shade The Big Smoke (£14 from Feel Unique). This is a gorgeous silvery-charcoal, and works great as a shadow and a liner. I love how it comes with a sharpener too- handy! The cream shadow is soft and easy to blend, has great colour pay-off and is very long-lasting. I definitely want to check out their bright turquoise blue shade next.
Before Blending | After Blending |
Their Pretty Cheeks Velvet Blush dome cream blushers (£16 from Feel Unique) give a real pop of colour. These are packed with colour- a little dab goes a long way, and you need to blend quickly. I don’t envisage anyone being able to use one of these up. I have the shade Velvet Coral, which is great for the Summer months. The colour looks very bright in the dome, but once blended it has a subtle, light, velvety matte finish.
Finally, I’ve been using their Lip Velvet Soft Matte Lip Colour in the shade Living The Dream (£12 from Feel Unique). This is basically a matte liquid lipstick, but it goes on quite sheer, with the ability to really build up the opaqueness with extra layers. Living The Dream is a bright coral-toned pink, and despite it being matte, it isn’t drying or patchy on the lips. I found I had to top this up quite a bit, but I don’t mind that- it is designed to be carried about in handbags after all.
Have you tried anything from Bagsy? What did you think?
