This is a few days later than I’d planned to put out my June beauty favourites; but better late than never. There’s a really good mixture of products again- from hair care to skin care, nail and bath products. I hope you discover a new favourite too.
Casmara Hydra Moisturizing Cream, £44.99 from Amazon
I reviewed one of Casmara’s face masks on my blog last week (here). I’ve been loving the hydrating and anti-aging moisturising cream from this Spanish skincare brand lately. It’s a bit of an expensive one at £44.99, and you don’t get as much product as you would expect for your money; but a little does go a long way as it is quite a light, thin and easily spreadable formula. Although it looks like a tube, it does actually have a pump dispenser, so there’s no fear of squeezing out too much product and wasting it. This moisturiser uses marine biotechnology, and it works really well. It contains Wakame Kelp for skin firming, and Casmara’s own hydrating and moisturising Juvenessence formula. It has a light and pleasant ‘marine’ spa scent too, which is rather relaxing.
Braun Satin Hair-7 Brush With IONTEC, £28.99 from Superdrug
I was very sceptical about this product, which is why I wanted to try it so much. Surely a hairbrush is just a hairbrush, right? Wrong. This cool gadget is a very good hairbrush, but it is also electrical and when switched on, emits a stream of ions from a little jet on the back. These ions (invisible active particles) create a ‘halo’ around your hair to instantly tame frizz and smooth flyaways. It really does work!
L’Oreal Colour Riche Nail Polish in Cloud Wow & Bling Bling Bling, £4.99 from Boots
These gel based nail polishes are extremely long-lasting and chip resistent. They have a plump, thick glossy formula; much like actual gel polishes, and they dry to the nicest finish. I apply two coats of these to get the coverage completely opaque, and they last me all week. The brush is really easy and neat to apply with too. I can’t believe it has taken me so long to try this range, and I’ll definitely be getting some more shades.
Vichy Purete Thermale Skin Renewing Creamy Scrub, £12 from Feel Unique
This scent of this new range from Vichy is gorgeous. I reviewed another one of the cleansers from it, here. This exfoliating cream cleanser contains Vichy Thermal Spa Water, Salicylic Acid, Shea Butter and Jojoba. It isn’t harsh, but effectively removes dead skin cells and leaves my skin feeling very soft and smooth. It’s simply a delight to use. I use it at night on non-makeup days, and I use a balm cleanser when I have been wearing makeup.
Lush A French Kiss Bubble Bar, £4.25 from Lush
As you’ll know, I am obsessed with Lush; especially their Lavender-scented bath bomb Twilight. When I saw that A French Kiss was another Lavender-based creation of theirs, I had to try it. It is very different to Twilight; which is a deep, heady, musky, malted Lavender scent. A French Kiss is much fresher, and contains a strong scent antiseptic scent too from the Rosemary oil it includes. Twilight is great for sending you to sleep, whereas this is a great head clearer. It also contains fabulous skin-softening and moisturising Extra Virgin Coconut Oil.
