I’ve been posting my monthly beauty favourites for a while now, so I thought it was time I added in a monthly fashion and lifestyle favourites post since my blog covers all three topics.
I love my new bargain-tastic casual shoes that I got from Shoezone (£12.99 from www.shoezone.com). They have been proving perfect for the end of Summer due to their bright colours, and the tweed fabric will take me right through Autumn too, until the weather starts demanding boots.
Food wise, I have been addicted to the Muller Bliss Corner yoghurts with Honey Clusters (2 multipacks for £4 at www.waitrose.com). They are 207 calories each and I’m not going to admit to how many of these I eat a week, as frankly, it’s embarrassing. The yoghurt is whipped and very creamy, and the clusters are basically very sweet granola minus the fruit.
There has been two new additions to my bed during the last month, and they have really improved my sleep and comfort. I’ve been using Neom’s new Tranquillity Perfect Night’s Sleep Pillow Mist (£20 from www.neomorganics.com) on my bedding nightly, and its blend of pure essential oils are very calming. There’s Lavender, Jasmine, Patchouli and Chamomile plus 10 others in there.
I also have a new pillow case- a very expensive pillowcase- from Iluminage. Their Skin Rejuvenating Pillowcase (£50 from www.lookfantastic.com) has Copper Oxide embedded in its fibres, which release copper ions when it comes into contact with skin. These fight against wrinkles and the signs of ageing; helping you to wake with smoother skin. The pillowcase is very soft and silky, and is a dream to sleep on. I don’t wake up with sleep lines either.
Finally, I’ve been loving the US drama series Odyssey currently showing on BBC 2. I’m not a fan of Anna Friel as an actress, so I nearly didn’t watch; but thankfully I did as it has been brilliant. It’s about an American army sergeant Odelle Ballard (Friel) who is the only surviving member of her squad after they were killed during a US government-authorised attack on them. The government wanted them dead as they had uncovered information about the finance of terrorist organisations. Her family are told she has been killed; but her daughter and several political activists set out to prove she is alive; while Odelle Ballard tries to escape the dangerous region in the Middle East that she is trapped in.
What things have you been loving for the past month?
