This eyeshadow primer from NYX Cosmetics is a new discovery for me, and I’ve been loving it. The NYX High Definition Eye Shadow Base (£7 from www.nyxcosmetics.co.uk) is a lightweight cream that you apply to your eyelids with its doe-foot applicator.

It is very light in colour and works fantastically at filling out creases to create a good smooth base for your eye makeup. It is also very luminous, so works well in brightening your skin too. It doesn’t feel heavy or greasy either.

As well as perfecting the skin on your eyelids, this primer also dramatically increases the vibrancy and longevity of any eyeshadows you place over it. Just look how it changes the look of this purple-taupe shade from the Essence All About Nude eyeshadow palette (£3.49 from Wilko)!
