For me, the Christmas stocking is my favourite thing about Christmas Day. I love that mine is always filled with little surprises that suit me perfectly. I’ve put together a round-up of cute and stylish small gifts that any woman would love to discover on Christmas morning…
Paul & Joe Autumn 2015 Bees Lip Treatment Balm, £14, Beauty Bay | Kate Spade New York Telegram Notepad, £10, Amara | Soap & Glory Kissmas Cracker, £6, Boots | Dr Paw Paw Tinted Ultimate Red Balm, £6.95, Dr Paw Paw | Valley Mill Natural Lavender & Citronella Soap, £4, Valley Mill | Cafe de Bain Coconut Macaroon Softening Shower Creme, £2.99, Superdrug | Lush Fairy Dust Dusting Powder, £5.95, Lush Cosmetics | Primark Christmas Socks Trio, £2.50 | Lindt Gold Reindeer & Fluffy Antlers, £5.99, Lindt | Lindt Santa’s Little Helpers, £2.79, Lindt | Beauty Blender Micro Mini Duo Kit, £13.50, Beauty Blender | Original Tangle Teezer, £10.99, Boots
With mistletoe everywhere in sight, Christmas is definitely the time for kissing. For suitably soft lips, I have something to suit every taste. For a subtle shine and conditioning properties, the Paul & Joe Lip Treatment Balm (£14) is perfect. Their Autumn 2015 bees tin design (with a ginger and honey flavour) is so pretty that she’ll want to reuse it when she has finished it. If however, a bold lip look is her thing, the cult Dr Paw Paw Multi-Purpose Soothing Balm (£6.95) have a bright red tinted version. It’s fragrance free and made from ultra moisturising naturally fermented pawpaw.
Now that she has super-soft lips, Soap & Glory’s Kissmas Cracker (£6), containing their Sexy Mother Pucker Lip Gloss in Rose and Shine will complete her look. This nude toned gloss can be worn on its own or over a lipstick to make lips appear fuller.
Everyone raves about Tangle Teezers (£10.99), and for good reason. This hair saviour is a plastic brush with different sized bristles that easily brush through knots and tugs to detangle them. It’s suitable for all hair types and styles and dramatically decreases the damage that other brushes cause. Another beauty must-have she’ll love is the miniature incarnations of the uber-popular Beauty Blenders. This Micro Mini Duo Kit (£13.50) has blenders that are the ideal size for getting into hard to reach places such as the corners of her eyes and the sides of her nose to blend foundation and concealer seamlessly.
What
girl doesn’t love chocolate? These novelty treats from luxurious
chocolate brand Lindt will put a smile on her face on Christmas morning.
The iconic Lindt gold reindeers come with fluffy antlers in this set
(£5.99), or you could opt for the edible line-up of Santa’s Little
Helpers (£2.79).
Continuing with the beauty theme, the Cafe De Bain Coconut Macaroon Softening Shower Creme (£2.99) smells good enough to eat and makes a fantastic pampering treat. Another pampering treat with a touch of magic about it is the Lush Cosmetics Fairy Dusy Dusting Powder (£5.95). There is no more popular beauty product at Christmas-time than Lush’s incarnations of their coveted Snow Fairy scent. Here the famous sweet candy scent comes as a translucent shimmering body dusting powder to ensure that your loved one glows from head to toe.
What’s a Christmas stocking without the obligatory bar of soap? The Lavender and Citronella soap (£4) from independent Welsh brand Valley Mill has a wonderfully refreshing scent. It’s 100% natural and contains nourishing shea oil, coconut oil, olive oil, palm oil and castor oil.
Finally, as she’ll be wanting to write thank you notes for all her wonderful gifts, you can’t beat the stylish Kate Spade for quality and quirky stationery. The Kate Spade New York Telegram Notepad (£10) adds an old-fashioned touch to her penmanship and will look incredibly cool on her desk.
Will you be racing to the shops to pick up any of these?
