I got a new handbag last month from Bonprix (their Smoky Pastel Tote Bag in Stone) and I’ve been loving it all month as a day bag. Despite being only £29.99, I think it looks a lot more expensive. I love the cream colour too, as it goes with everything. I carry around A LOT of stuff on a daily basis, so I thought I would share with you what is currently in my handbag.
I like to organise the stuff in my handbag into seperate pouches. I have a mint ‘Ooh La La’ Katie Loxton pouch (£15.99 from www.yourgifthouse.co.uk) that I keep my diary and stationery in. In it I have a gold Kate Spade notebook (£17.95 from www.selfridges.com), a glittery 2016 mini diary from Paperchase that isn’t in stock anymore, with a Kate Spade bow paperclip on it (£12.95 for 12 from www.selfridges.com), along with some pens and pencils- I always carry a black Sharpie, my fuschia Swarovski Crystalline Lady Ballpoint pen (£24 from www.swarovski.com), a pencil, macaron eraser and an ink pen- my Online Highway of Writing Raspberry Roller Ball Pen (£24.50 from www.penheaven.co.uk). I also keep my business cards in this pouch too, in a Louis Vuitton card holder that I got 15 years ago.
Another pouch that I carry is a cute baby pink Forever 21 ‘Voila’ pouch ($4.90 from www.forever21.com). In this I keep a selection of handy beauty and hygiene products, as well as an emergency supply of all my anxiety medications. In this pouch, I keep a minature body spray, a mirror, tissues, a Travalo Classic Excel (£12.49 from www.debenhams.com) containing The Body Shop’s Coconut Eau de Toilette (£8.50 from www.thebodyshop.co.uk), a L’Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream (£8 from uk.loccitane.com), a nude lip gloss- Soap & Glory’s Sexy Mother Pucker Plumping Lip Gloss in Nude Star (£9 from www.boots.com), the original multi-purpose Dr Paw Paw balm as well as a red tinted version for lips (£6.95 from www.selfridge.com), a travel-size Benetint from Benefit to flush my cheeks on the go, and a YSL Touche Eclat Radiant Touch Concealer (£25 from www.houseoffraser.co.uk). I usually keep a spare hair bobble and some kirby grips in here too.
The last pouch I carry is a ‘Chargers and Stuff’ purple leather one (£24.95 but currently on sale for £7.40 from www.handpickedcollection.com). In this I keep all my tech and gadgets. I have a long and a short USB cable for my Android phone and tablet in here, a portable charger that is branded with my blog logo, a remote shutter button for the camera on my phone attached to a Benefit Cosmetics keyring, a selfie stick, a gorilla tripod, an external LED flash for my phone’s camera when I am trying to take photos in the dark, pink diamante Bass Buds earphones (£39.95 from bassbuds.net/uk) and an Apple lightning charging and data transfer cable for any blogger friends who need one in an emergency.
Also in my handbag, I obviously carry about my keys (on a Vivienne Westwood keyring), my phone, which is in a WoodBack wooden case (£19.95 from www.cover-up.com), my coin purse- a 99p Kate Spade–alike from Home Bargains, and my Cambridge Satchel Company card wallet embossed with my initials LPS (£30 from www.cambridgesatchel.com).
Has this given you some inspiration on how to organise your handbag?
