For this week’s Face Mask Friday, I’m reviewing Benefit Cosmetics’ The POREfessional Instant Wipeout Masks (£24.50 from Debenhams). This is something really different from Benefit and I love how they’ve built on the popularity of the cult POREfessional Face Primer to expand the POREfessional brand in so many different directions.
This mask is designed to clean out your pores and smooth their appearance around your nose, chin and forehead. You get 8 oddly shaped strips that you can apply to any of these three areas. you can use the whole strip on one area, or cut the strip to do two smaller areas at once- this gets you a bit more for your money.
The masks are double-sided and have one smooth side, which you apply to your skin for ten minutes, and one rough side to rub over the treated areas afterwards to exfoliate it. Wearing the mask does sting slightly, and you should be careful not to rub too hard with the abrasive side afterwards. These masks work incredibly well- my skin feels squeaky clean afterwards and incredibly soft. I never used to have visible pores, but I’ve noticed in the last six months (as I get older *sigh*) that I do have quite large pores on my forehead, nose and cheeks now. These masks really help to decrease the visibility of these and remove impurities.
Have you tried these masks yet?
