I’ve been loving the makeup brushes from this small independent brand, so I wanted to introduce you to them. Girl Meets Brush was created by celebrity makeup artist Lynne Mills (who also co-founded the fabulous Miss Flicklash by Eylure range of eyelashes). She has launched a 12-piece collection of brushes that are vegan and suitable for both personal and professional use.
I’ve been trying out four brushes from the collection and they are all amazing. They are incredibly soft and look really cute too. I’ve been using their powder brush (£14.95) to set my makeup with translucent powder and it distributes this really nicely on the skin. I’ve also been using their Blush/Contour Brush (£12.95) to apply my blusher- it has a lovely tapered end and the bristles are denser than the powder brush for more precise application.
Their Contour Blending Brush (£13.95) has an angled flat head and is great for blending- I use it to go over my serum foundations after I’ve applied them with my fingers, just to make sure everything is blended properly. Finally, I’ve been trying their Foundation Brush (£9.95). I personally don’t like or use flat foundation brushes anymore are I can’t get a good finish with them on my skin now. I prefer to really work foundation into my skin with my fingers or with a buffing brush rather than paint it on. However, as flat foundation brushes go, this is a good one- my Mum uses them and is loving this one at the moment.
Have you tried any brushes from Girl Meets Brush?
