I can’t believe it’s time for another monthly favourites again! This month’s fashion and lifestyle favourites is a real mixed bag- there’s books, tech, home gadgets, glassware, candles and fashion accessories. I hope you discover something new.
First up is a candle from Jo Loves. This is the first candle I’ve tried from the brand, but I’d heard so many good things and Jo is the Jo of Jo Malone fame, so I knew what I was going to get would be good. This Log Fires Candle (£50 from Jo Loves) is simply magnificent. She has managed to capture that warm and comforting scent of burning wood and it’s the perfect companion for cosy nights in. I’ve been burning it every evening. It comes with a beautiful silver and glass lid too, so would make the perfect gift for a person who loves their home comforts.
I’ve also been really enjoying quite a few books this month. As you know, I’m a real adult colouring addict as it calms my anxiety. I was sent a fantastic hardback colouring book by a publisher- Relaxing Art Therapy Colouring Book*- (available from 7th April for £12.99) and it’s one of the best I’ve ever used as it has so many pages that allow for artistic self expression as well as just colouring in. There are pages in here where you can continue patterns and draw your own designs inside shapes and it’s so fun.
Another creative book I’ve been loving is 100 Simple Paper Flowers by Kelsey Elam (£13.48 from Amazon). This has hundreds of tutorials for the most beautiful and realistic looking paper flowers. I’m going to include some of them in a craft project soon, so keep your eyes peeled. If you love making pretty things, you’ll love this book.
The final book I’ve been enjoying using throughout March is a journal- Start Where You Are: A Journal for Self-Exploration by Meera Lee Patel (£10.99 from Amazon) is such a peaceful and reflective book that allows you to look to the future and work out what you want to achieve, think about your own strengths and weaknesses and just understand your life a bit better. There is something for you to answer and complete on every page- questions such as “Describe something about yourself that pushes people away?”. There are really amazing inspirational illustrations in it too.
I have needed a new office printer for ages now and I finally settled on the Epson EcoTank ET-2500 Multifunction Printer (£189.99 from Amazon) as it can print around 4000 colour pages or 6500 black and white pages before running out of ink- that’s approximately two years worth of ink and it comes included in the box. I was also really attracted to the fact that you can print from anywhere using WiFi (even documents from my mobile phone) and that it has scanner and photocopier functions too. It works really well and I’m looking forward to not having to buy any ink any time soon.
Another gadget I’ve been loving is the new Phillips Steam & Go 2-in-1 Handheld Garment Steamer* (£80 from Amazon) was kindly sent to me by Phillips along with a silk Aspinal Marylebone Silk Scarf (£95 from Selfridges) to test it out on. This scarf is such a classic design and I love that it features handbags on it. I despise ironing and the whole fuss of folding out an ironing board and putting it away again, so this steamer has been a god-send to me. It’s so handy and takes all the creases out of my garments and is safe to use on my most sensitive fabrics. It takes around 45 seconds to heat up and I run it down my clothes when they are hanging up over the back of a door. It’s also great at removing odours and even miraculously kills bacteria. You can also use it on furniture using the detachable brush head, but I’ve yet to try this.
The last of my fashion and lifestyle favourites for the month are these stunning champagne flute from Royal Albert. I completely fell in love with them as they have a pink tone to them and are engraved with pretty little butterflies. The Miranda Kerr Champagne Flutes Set (£25 from Royal Albert) are a collaboration between model Miranda Kerr and heritage British china and glassware house Royal Albert. They are stunning and perfect for girly at-home afternoon teas- did you see my Mother’s Day spread, here?
Are you tempted by any of my favourites this month?
