March 2016’s My Little Box– the My Little Bubble Box- is pastel perfection. It is an entire box of beauty and the selection is brilliant. There are five products in total and three of these are My Little Box-own label items, along with an offering from fellow French brands Givenchy and Huygens.
My Little Box produce their own beauty products which they sell to their French customers via an online store. Included in this month’s subscription box is their Makeup Applicatior Sponge (worth £8), their Hairbrush (worth £13) and their Bubble Blush Lip & Cheek Tint (currently not for sale). The makeup sponge is fantastic quality and definitely rivals the Real Techniques and Beauty Blender versions. I also love the lip and cheek tint- it’s such a pretty shade of pink and has a lovely creamy, instead of watery, formula. It’s also incredibly long lasting- it took me 24 hours to get this swatch stain off my hand. The hairbrush comes in a really cute and retro print and has plastic bristles on a cushioned pad.
Also in my box this month is a travel size Verveine d’Hugyens Body Scrub (worth £13) that is an apothecary blend of essential oils to deliver happiness, calm and concentration. 99% of the ingredients in this Hugyens scrub are natural. Personally I didn’t like the smell of it as I found it very overpowering- I detected some citrus, but also a strong menthol scent. I also found the microbead exfoliator element of it too fine and ineffective too. Subscribers to this box will either have got this scrub or their rose-scented Bois Rose Body Scrub, which I would have preferred.
Finally, comes a mini version of the wonderful Givenchy Noir Couture Volume Mascara (full-size RRP £25). I love it when brands fully replicate their packaging designs in their miniature samples as it gives testers a much nicer and more authentic experience. This mini mascara has a stunning studded body and their uniquely shaped two-toned brush. It really seperates and defines your lashes as well as adding real statement black volume.
What do you think of this month’s beauty-themed My Little Box?
