How beautiful is the black and gold packaging on the recent Urban Decay collaboration with Gwen Stefani?! I have been loving two of the lipstick and lip liner combinations, so I wanted to share them with you. If you adore the Revolution lipsticks from Urban Decay, you’ll love these too.
There are six new Gwen Stefani lipsticks, but I’ve been wearing two of them constantly with their matching lip liners. The Rock Steady lipstick (£16 from www.debenhams.com) and the Rock Steady 24/7 Glide-On Lip Pencil (£14) are a deep burgandy wine shade. The finish on the lipstick is a gloss and it’s really creamy so just glides onto the lips. It’s comfortable, long-wearing and when it does fade, it leaves a pretty stain behind.
The other combo I’ve been loving is very much a matte one. Unlike Rock Steady, you absolutely need a liner with this. The Gwen Stefani 714 lipstick (£16) has a new formulation that Urban Decay are calling Mega Matte- it is indeed extremely matte and extremely pigmented. As you would expect from a formulation like this, it does drag on application and is very drying on the lips. The finish is just stunning however, so just make sure you prep your lips first to get rid of any dry patches that it could cling to. It’s long-wearing, but unlike Rock Steady, it isn’t all that comfortable to wear. It is the perfect red though, and ‘No pain, no gain’ right?!
Have you tried these shades of the Urban Decay X Gwen Stefani lipsticks and liners?
