Happy hump day! I wanted to share with you some new products that I’ve been trying from Clinique. There’s some great little portable lip scrub and lip balm duos, a blemish serum that anti-aging too and a fabulous blotting powder that will leave you wondering how you ever lived without it.
First up, I’ve been really enjoying using the Clinique Sweet Pots* (£15 from Clinique). These are sugar scrub and tinted lip balm duos and come in a selection of five shades. I’ve been using Sweet Rose and the brighter Pink Framboise. The lip balm is very moisturising and isn’t sticky, and the scrub has some good course particles in it to give your lips a good exfoliation. The only problem I have with these is that they are so lightly pigmented that you can hardly tell the difference between the various shades- you definitely don’t need to purchase more than one colour of this.
Next, I’ve been trying their Anti-Blemish Solutions Blemish & Line Correcting Serum* (available from 15th April for £39). It’s really nice to see a blemish skincare product that’s designed for older skin as acne isn’t just something teenagers get. I only suffer from the occasional spot and breakout, but I am concerned about aging- this serum is still a great one for me too. It’s anti-bacterial and it controls excess oil whilst also providing hydration (through Hyaluronic Acid). It also contains ingredients that chemically exfoliate the skin (e.g. Salicylic Acid) to get rid of dead skin cells and promote cell renewal. The ingredients in this serum are non-irritating and there’s calming and soothing elements such as Evening Primrose Oil and Clary Sage in there too. On the anti-aging side of things, Peptides and Whey Protein boost elastin and collagen to reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles.
Finally, I’ve been trying another product that isn’t available to buy yet. The Clinique Stay-Matte Universal Blotting Powder* (available from 8th April for £26) is a very fine and light translucent pressed powder that comes with an anti-bacterial sponge. This stuff is great at controlling shine and sweat on the face and helps make you look more put together and less flustered. It’s suitable for every skin tone as it transfers no colour onto the skin. There are even some optical diffusers in there to minimise imperfections and pores and blur fine lines. This product has become a firm staple in my handbag as the mirror is great too.
Do you like the look of any of these?
