I’m a avid watcher of Tanya Burr’s YouTube videos, but until this month I hadn’t yet tried any of her beauty products. I thought it was about time I got round to testing them out, so I picked up a small selection from her range to assess the quality and see what I liked.
I wanted to try a couple of her lip glosses as these were the first products she came out with. I went for the coral I Found Nemo (£5.99 from Superdrug) and the red Aphrodite (£5.99). I really like these! Both are really pigmented, but I Found Nemo is a creamier and more opaque gloss, where Aphrodite is sheerer and has a shimmery finish. They wear well, smell of watermelon (they do to me anyway) and aren’t too sticky.
I also got two of her nail polishes to try- Riding Hood Nail Polish (£4.99) is a deep brown-toned red and Mischief Managed (£4.99) is a brighter orange-toned red. The quality of the polishes is really nice- they are creamy and go pretty much opaque after just one coat. You do need a second coat, but it’s only really to fill in some sparser areas. They aren’t the longest lasting polishes as they do chip after a few days, but they have such a nice high-shine finish that it’s worth it.
Finally, I had to pick up her brow kit as I’d heard so much about it- Tanya Burr Perfect Brows (£6.99) is a universal palette that will suit most blonde and brunette hair colours. It has a great mix of four warm and cool, light and dark shades that can be mixed together or used on their own. The little angled brush you get in the kit works really well and the powders look very natural. The only thing I don’t like about it is the packaging- I understand this probably helps keep costs low for her young fans, but the cardboard isn’t very portable as it would get destroyed very easily rattling about with other makeup in a bag, and it looks quite cheap.
What Tanya Burr Cosmetics product is your favourite?
