Kiko’s summer collection* is a range of beautiful limited edition products in gold-packaging designed by Ross Lovegrove. I’ve been trying four products from the collection and I wanted to share them with you. You will want all of them!
The collection is inspired by a passion for travel and contains so many summer essentials. First up, I have the HUGE Desert Dunes Baked Bronzer in Warm Melange (£22.90 from Kiko Cosmetics)- you won’t run out of this any time soon. This cream and bronze swirled baked powder, for your face and body, looks best dusted on lightly, but I’ve packed it on for the swatch above so that you can clearly see what the colour and finish is like. It contains jojoba oil and vitamin E to nourish the skin while giving you a natural sun-kissed look. There is also a darker and more orange-toned shade Sienna Melange available.
The new Endless Sky Volume Effect Mascara (£12.90) is a jet black volumising mascara with a densely-packed fibre bristle wand. It coats every lash and thickens them, whilst also protecting them. The brush is made up of different lengths of fibres so that it reaches and coats every lash. I really like this mascara as it doesn’t clump and really makes my lashes look darker and fuller. It doesn’t smudge during the day either and holds a curl nicely. It’s definitely more volumising than lengthening, but as I already have very long lashes, this is exactly what I need.
Finally, I’ve been using two of the lip products from the collection. I am completely in love with the Heatwave Lip Oil in Vanilla (£10.90). It looks pink in the tube, but as you’ll see in the above swatch (top) it is basically clear. This is a non-greasy nourishing lip oil that gives lips a lovely glossy sheen and has a summery sweet coconut scent. It contains jojoba oil, shea butter, vitamin E and wild mango butter that keeps lips soft and hydrated, and it quickly replaced the lip balm in my handbag. It has a doe-foot applicator so is easy and mess-free to apply.
I’ve also been loving the Mirage Lip Stylo in Canyon Rose (£13.90). This creamy nude lipstick is intensely pigmented with a very shiny finish. It feels incredibly comfortable to wear- a lot like a lip balm and is the perfect throw-on easy-to-apply colour for spring and summer. The packaging has that really satisying magnetic closure too.
