When intu Braehead asked me to share my SS16 hero piece with you, it had to be a kimono. My kimono collection is continually growing as its such an easy piece of clothing to wear, but can make a real style statement at the same time. They are perfect for people like me who don’t want to show off the flabby section at the top of their arms and are low in body confidence. Due to extreme stress in my life recently, I’ve put on well over a stone again, so I’m not feeling my best. As well as being incredibly chic, my kimonos are great cover-ups for hiding lots of the bits that I don’t like about my figure. I also love the fact that they go with just about everything and are the perfect companion to my black legging obsession.
This one is from New Look last year (there is a store at Glasgow’s intu Braehead shopping centre) but they always have such an array of different designs for sale. Other stores at intu Braehead also have some fabulous SS16 kimonos- here are the ones to pop on your shopping list…
New Look Rust Crochet Trim Flutter Sleeve Kimono | Dorothy Perkins Viila Large Floral Kimono | Evans Black Bird Print Kimono | M&S Classic Floral Kimono Top | H&M Kimono | River Island White Embellished Sheer Kimono | New Look Mela Cream Bird Print Kimono
