THE KIMONO – MY SS16 HERO PIECE

April 8, 2016 in FASHION, Uncategorized

    Kimono Style

When intu Braehead asked me to share my SS16 hero piece with you, it had to be a kimono. My kimono collection is continually growing as its such an easy piece of clothing to wear, but can make a real style statement at the same time. They are perfect for people like me who don’t want to show off the flabby section at the top of their arms and are low in body confidence. Due to extreme stress in my life recently, I’ve put on well over a stone again, so I’m not feeling my best. As well as being incredibly chic, my kimonos are great cover-ups for hiding lots of the bits that I don’t like about my figure. I also love the fact that they go with just about everything and are the perfect companion to my black legging obsession.

    New Look Kimono

This one is from New Look last year (there is a store at Glasgow’s intu Braehead shopping centre) but they always have such an array of different designs for sale. Other stores at intu Braehead also have some fabulous SS16 kimonos- here are the ones to pop on your shopping list…

New Look Rust Crochet Trim Flutter Sleeve Kimono | Dorothy Perkins Viila Large Floral Kimono | Evans Black Bird Print Kimono | M&S Classic Floral Kimono Top | H&M Kimono | River Island White Embellished Sheer Kimono | New Look Mela Cream Bird Print Kimono

    intu Braehead SS16

If you live in Glasgow, intu Braehead have some great fashion events this spring- the centre is filled with pretty flower-covered boxes that will host various SS16 activities and events around them- everything from pop-ups to talks and fashion shows. On 30th April, the centre is hosting a fashion show at the intu Style Garden on level one, where models with be showcasing the key SS16 fashion trends using pieces from the intu Braehead retailers. If you aren’t in Glasgow, your local intu shopping centre will also be hosting events up until 1st May, so check their site for details.

This is a sponsored post with intu Braehead, but all opinions are my own.
