Happy Friday! It’s time for another face mask review from me, and this week it’s the Karuna Hydrating+ Face Mask ($8 from Sephora). It’s designed to be used by those with dry, dull, dehydrated and sensitive skin.
I was really impressed with this deeply hydrating sheet mask. It’s made from 100% natural wood-pulp fibres that are infused with a serum packed full of Hyaluronic Acid and peptides (to hydrate), Aloe Vera and Chamomile (to hydrate and soothe), plus Chinese Licorice and Vitamin B (to detoxify). As the mask itself is made from natural fibres, it means that your skin will absorb around 50% more moisture from the serum than it would from a synthetic sheet mask. I found it very gentle and comforting on my skin and when I removed the mask, it was definitely a lot softer and plumper. When I looked in the mirror it was also dewy and healthy looking too.
You remove the mask from the packet, unfold it and wear it on your face for 20 minutes. It looks and feels just like a standard sheet mask, but it is very wet so have a towel handy. This would be a great mask for after a day in the sun or on an aeroplane, to cool, soothe and rehydrate the skin. If you are placing a Sephora order, I really recommend adding this to your basket.
Have you tried anything from the Karuna brand before?
