I love this mask so much and it’s perfect for summer. It’s cooling, soothing and very hydrating. You just need to look at it and you’ll want to smother your face in it on a hot day.

The Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber Gel Mask (£30.25 for 150g from Look Fantastic) is a gentle gel that’s suitable for sensitive skin and is designed to soothe, hydrate and detoxify dry or irritated skin. If you’ve been out in the sun all day or have just had an eyebrow wax, this is heaven. I’ve been using it if I’ve been out all morning in the city centre in this current heat wave to put something back into my parched skin. You apply a generous layer and leave it on for 10 minutes – my skin drinks it up – and then you rinse it off with cold water. It leaves my skin cool, plump, refreshed and extremely soft.

It contains Cucumber Extract (to de-puff, hydrate and soothe), Papaya Extract (it’s rich in vitamins), Chamomile Extract (to soothe), Pineapple Extract (it contains an enzyme that softens the skin), Sugar Maple & Sugarcane (to get rid of dead surface skin cells), Orange & Lemon Extracts (to tone and minimise the appearance of pores), Bilberry Extract (it’s an antioxidant that protects against free radicals), Aloe (to soothe and hydrate). It’s such a brilliant mask to have on hand if your skin is stressed and needs some TLC. I’m going to re-stock up on this.
