This month I’ve combined my usual two monthly favourites posts into one as I didn’t feel that I had enough products for a seperate beauty one and fashion & lifestyle one. Hope you don’t mind and I’m sure things will be back to normal for June. You all know the products I’ve loved and hated during the month from my reviews, so I try to make my monthly favourites about products I’ve been using all month that I haven’t featured elsewhere yet – so that you have something new to read.
Let’s do the beauty first. I’ve been loving the New CID Cosmetics i-groom Eyebrow Grooming Pencil* (£19.50 from Feel Unique) as the shade suits me really well. They say it’s a neutral shade that will suit everyone, but I’m not sure how true this is. I think that it’s true for blondes and cool/warm-toned brunettes, but those with darker hair will probably find this too light. It gives long-lasting colour and I love that there’s a spoolie on the other end of the pencil for grooming.
Another eye product I’ve been wearing a lot this month is the Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Eyeshadow Stick* (£21 from Bobbi Brown) in the new shade Stone. It’s a shimmery taupe that’s great for a quick eye makeup look – I just draw it onto the lid and then blend it out. It’s long-wearing, creamy and just glides on. Another Bobbi Brown product I’ve been loving is the new Full Coverage Touch Up Brush* (£26 from Bobbi Brown). It’s meant for buffing concealer and foundation in hard to get into areas, but I actually use it as an eyeshadow blending brush as it fits perfectly into the crease, is tapered and is perfectly fluffy.
Finally, beauty wise, I’ve loved washing with the new Dirty Works Coconut Body Wash* (£2.50 from Sainsburys) this month. It smells amazing and so summery. The formula is really creamy and it contains nourishing Coconut Oil, hydrating Passionfruit Extract and Allantoin (to soften and soothe). It’s such a bargain and I really recommend you giving it a go.
On the fashion and lifestyle front, I finally have a good pair of foldaway flat shoes – I’ve been trying to wear more of my heeled shoe collection more often, and having these Rock & Rollasoles (£19.95 from Rollasole) in my handbag for the way home has been a God-send. They are comfortable, made of quality materials and come with a pouch for easy transportation. These ones have their deluxe sole, so I would go for these over their regular cheaper range.
I’m also obsessed with my new monogrammed leather clutch/travel wallet. The Laurige Beaubourg Leather Travel Envelope in Aubergine (£21.90 from Pen Heaven) is the perfect grab-and-go clutch bag and is also a chic holder for your passport and tickets if you are travelling. The leather is such good quality and the textured finish means that you don’t see any scratches you may get on it. The embossing of your initials is an extra £5, but it’s definitely worth it as it makes the piece more unique.
Finally, you’ll have noticed a cute little flamingo pop up in these photos – I got this framed A5 print (£24 from Coconutgrass) from an brilliant little online store that specialises in stylish personalised gifts. I definitely recommend that you check Coconutgrass out next time you need to buy someone a present. The frame is made of a great quality wood and it looks great on the gallery wall above my desk. You can buy the print unframed for just £7 if you would prefer this option.
Which of my favourites this month do you like the look of?
