I’ve been enjoying the new Rekorderlig cider cocktail cans so much recently, and they have been the drink of choice for my husband and I’s date nights at home. Rekorderlig asked me to share with you how I’ve been enjoying these drinks, so I thought that rounding up my summer date night at home ideas would be an inspiring way to do it.
There are three flavours of the new Rekorderlig cider cocktail cans*- Swedish Punch, Passionfruit Gimlet and Wild Berries Bramble. They are all delicious, refreshing drinks that are modern twists on classic cocktails. I love that the cans are so slim and elegant too.
Garden Barbeque
If you have time (perhaps on a weekend rather than a work night), a BBQ in the garden is a fun date night. Enjoy cooking the food together, then sitting chatting in the sun all night. Light some candles and enjoy each other’s company without any digital distractions. Swedish Punch (Strawberry-Lime Cider Cocktail) is the perfect accompaniment to barbeque food for me – it’s very sweet but citrusy at the same time, so it goes with whatever you choose to grill. It’s a blend of Rekorderlig Strawberry-Lime Cider with vodka, mint and elderflower. The mint makes it feel very cooling on a hot night too.
Garden Picnic
If you don’t feel like cooking but the weather is beautiful, pop something quick like a salad and then some cookies for dessert into a hamper and take it outside. It’s a great way to spend time together and a more interesting way to eat dinner than at a table. The Rekorderlig Passionfruit Gimlet (Passionfruit Cider Cocktail) cans are great for cold food picnics as this variety is so sharp, tropical and refreshing. It’s a blend of Rekorderlig Passionfruit Cider with gin and a touch of lime.
Movie Night
If the weather outside is letting you down or you just fancy a cosy night in, you can bring summer indoors with these fabulous fruity cocktails and enjoy a movie night together on the sofa. Wild Berries Bramble (Wild Berries Cider Cocktail) is perfect for summer nights indoors as there is something so comforting about berries I think. This variety is a blend of Rekorderlig Wild Berries Cider with white rum – it’s sweet, hearty and very tasty.
