This month’s Look Fantastic Beauty Box (from £11.25 per month from Look Fantastic) is themed around travel and the best beauty products from around the world. This month’s box is good value for money, but not one of their best. Let’s take a look inside the #LFJetsetter box…
It would definitely have been good to see some makeup in here as it has been three months in a row without any, so I think a bit of variety needs to be injected back into the boxes again. You are definitely still getting your money’s worth however and a high quality line-up of brands.
First up from the box is the Dead Sea Spa Magik Beauty Balm BB Cream SPF 15 Natural, which I can’t actually find for purchase on the Look Fantastic site at the moment. I really like this cream – it’s lightweight and is designed to be a universal colour to an extent, by adjusting to the wearer’s natural skin tone. It suits my pale skin nicely, looks natural and evens out the tone of my complexion – great for ‘no makeup makeup’ days. It also contains Dead Sea Minerals and Vitamin E which hydrate the skin. I would say that you get enough in this tube for at least ten applications.
Also in the box is an eye cream sample from high-end French skincare brand Caudalie – the Caudalie Premier Cru Eye Cream (full size £49). This tube will do you at least two weeks as you only need to use a little at a time. The cream is rich and luxurious and provides a multitude of benefits – it fights dehydration, signs of aging by lifting and firming, brightens dark circles and illuminates the skin. This is a great chance to try it out without jumping right in with the expensive full size.
Another nice appearance in the box is a travel-size Korres shower gel. You get one of two scents from this Greek brand – Basil & Lemon or Bergamot & Pear (£8 for 2 Full-Size Bottles). I got Basil & Lemon and it’s a fresh and awakening scent. It contains Vitamin C, Vitamin E and Zinc to condition and nourish your skin as well as giving you energy from its zestiness.
The Naobay Oxygenating Cream Moisturiser (full-size £32.95) would be a great product to take on a flight. It’s over 98% natural and infuses skin with moisture and calms irritation. It’s a gentle cream that’s suitable for sensitive skin, and contains nourishing and hydrating ingredients such as Rosehip Oil and Sweet Almond Oil.
You also get a travel-size Cowshed Cow Pat Moisturising Hand Cream (full-size £16) in this month’s box. This has both a zesty and herby scent, containing grapefruit, coriander, chamomile, and cinnamon. I feel that it has a slightly greasy feeling to it and the scent is too strong for me.
Finally, one of the last products in the box is three single-use teeth whitening strip sachets from Mr Blanc (£24.99 for 14). These are peroxide-free and are supposed to leave your teeth whiter and more radiant. You apply a strip to your top and bottom teeth that are coated in the whitening gel that’s designed to absorb and remove surface stains. These didn’t really do much for me, but you are supposed to use them for at least two weeks. I actually found them quite unpleasant to use – there’s no sensitivity, but they do dissolve in the mouth, leaving your teeth coated in ‘gunk’ which needs wiped off and spat out.
Also in the box is a tiny one-application bottle of Tan Organic’s Tanning Oil (I can’t find this on the Look Fantastic site to buy). I don’t fake tan, so I haven’t tried this, but it does have a citrus scent. It’s supposed to hydrate and tan your skin at the same time and promises not to be greasy.
If you’ve had this month’s box, what did you think of it?
