These products are great all year round, but are especially useful during the summer months. From sun protection to skincare gadgets, I wanted to share with you what I have in my summer beauty arsenal this year.
Soltan Once Invisible Pump Spray SPF 15, £10, Boots
I’ve been using this spray everyday on areas of my body that I am exposing to the sun. It’s so easy and hassle-free to use as it’s a spray and provides 8-hours of coverage – I just pop it on in the morning before I go out. It has a formula that’s a bit like a dry oil and it absorbs really easily.
Transformulas Arm Lift, £33.96, Amazon
If you want to go sleeveless over the summer but you aren’t confident about the top of your arms, you need to give this a try. It’s a cream that moisturises, firms and sculpts the skin and is designed to be used on the tops of your arms. Transformulas Arm Lift tackles the dreaded ‘bingo wings’ and it really does increase skin firmess through the inclusion of essential amino acids that boost elastin.
Gilette Venus SNAP with Embrace Razor, £4.98, Superdrug
This portable razor has all the capabilities of a full-size razor but in a travel-friendly size. It’s great to take on holiday in its handy case for quick touch-ups. It has five blades that hug the contours of your skin for a close shave, and it has a water-activated ribbon to provide moisture and a smooth shave. I use mine with the Gilette Satin Care Sensitive Skin Shave Gel, £3.49 – it has soothing Aloe Vera and gives a smooth glide without accidental cuts.
Avene Hydrance Optimale Skin Tone Perfector, £16.50, Boots
This is essentially a CC cream with SPF – a DD cream? I have shade Light, but it’s still too dark for me (and probably just about everyone with pale skin) so I’ve been adding some of my Boot Lightening Drops to it to make it paler and I’ve just about been getting away with it. I wanted to share this product with you though as its amazing to use even if the shade isn’t the best. It’s very hydrating, has SPF 30 and it perfects the look of the skin by blurring imperfections and adding radiance. I love its rich creamy texture that blends well into the skin.
Braun FaceSpa Mini Epilator & Cleansing Brush, £69.99, Selfridges
This facial cleansing brush from Braun is the perfect size to take on holiday with you and it comes in a handy pouch too. It also has an epilator that can tackle small areas such as facial hair. Braun says that cleansing with this brush gives you a 6X better cleanse than doing it manually. You’ve got to love a 2-in-1 product that’s compact too.
Have you tried any of these?
