The Sunset Pink Collection is the latest release from Bobbi Brown, and it’s so pretty. It’s a pink and nude/brown-toned collection that includes cream eyeshadows, highlighting powders, glossy lip tints and a gel eyeliner. I wanted to share my favourite bits from the range with you.
Bobbi got her inspiration for the collection from a photograph her son took of a beautiful late afternoon sunset. She loved the colours and the intense pink-red light that makes people under it look radiant. Just before the sun sets – Magic Hour – it casts a warm light that illuminates the skin. That’s what she has tried to re-create with the highlighting powders in the collection. The Bobbi Brown Sunset Pink Highlighting Powder in Afternoon Glow* (£34 from Bobbi Brown) is named after the place where her son took the photograph. It’s a creamy, highly-pigmented, blendable powder in a stunning rose gold shade. This is an intense highlighter with highly-reflective pearl pigments, and there are two other available shades – Telluride (a mauve) and Sunset Glow (a pink).
There are also four Sunset Pink Long-Wear Cream Eyeshadows* (£19.50 from Bobbi Brown) and I have the shades Stone Pink, Ash and Nude Beach. Nude Beach is a brilliant eyeshadow base for me as it matches the skin tone there perfectly. I’ve been loving wearing this across the lid with the cool brown Ash through the crease for a subtle day look. Stone Pink is a very warm pink-toned brown matte that would look brilliant paired with gold and copper shadows.
Bobbi Brown have released three Sheer Color Cheek Tints* (£19.50 from Bobbi Brown) and I have the shade Telluride – which is named after the place her son took his photograph. It’s a dark pink-mauve cream blusher in stick form that blends really well and is very long-lasting. I tap a small amount of this onto my cheeks for a natural flush – it’s easy to work with this and build up the colour if required too.
Finally, and probably my favourite items from the collection, are the Sunset Pink Tube Tints* (£17.50 from Bobbi Brown) in Naked and Bare Shimmer. These are beautiful lips glosses that aren’t sticky but have intense shine. They feel really comfortable and moisturising on the lips. Naked (a nude brown), when on, is a ‘your lips but better’ shade, and Bare Shimmer (a champagne pearl) has finely milled shimmer particles and looks great worn over other lipsticks as well as on its own.
Have you tried anything from the Bobbi Brown Sunset Pink Collection?
