Last week I brought you a ColourPop haul (here) that I had shipped over with the MyUS service. Also in my MyUS package was some Physicians Formula products from Walgreens as they look so interesting.
I’ve explained in full what MyUS is and how the service works in my ColourPop post, but essentially, they give you a US shipping address so that you can order from stores that don’t ship internationally. They then bundle all your purchases together and send them out to you in one package. So, as well as ordering from the ColourPop site, I also got a few Physicians Formula products that I wanted to try from Walgreens.
The first product that I picked up was the Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Correcting Powder ($13.99 from Walgreens). I absolutely love this powder. The unicorn brush that comes with it is useless, but it looks amazing. The powder is invisible on the skin, but it’s a blend of different skin colour-correcting colours to perfect the look of the skin. I use this to set my makeup and finish off my look by pressing it gently into my skin with a sponge. The website says it’s suitable for sensitive and breakout-prone skin as it’s hypoallergenic and calms irritation. It’s a really lightweight powder that does its job perfectly without looking cakey or reducing your glow. I will definitely re-order this.
I also ordered the Physicians Formula Plump Potion Needle Free Lip-Plumping Cocktail ($9.75 but no longer available from Walgreens). This product is amazing. Its basically one of those tingly lip plumping products but without the irritating tingling. You really don’t feel this working and it works incredibly well – your lips get a lot fuller and plumper in just a few minutes. It also really enhances the shape and contour of your lips by giving you a more pronounced outline. I put this on as I start to do my makeup and then dab it off with a tissue at the end, before I apply my lip colour of choice. The results really do amaze me every time and it’s pain-free.
Finally, I ordered the new Physicians Formula Happy Booster & Mood Boosting Baked Bronzer in Light ($12.99 from Walgreens). In the image above, I’ve swatched the two different shades seperately, then them both mixed. I love this product too as it is such a pretty colour and has such a nice finish. As well as bronzing your skin, it’s supposed to boost your mood too via the plant extracts it contains; but let’s just ignore this aspect as I think it’s nonsense. I use this bronzer with a big fluffy brush and I swirl both colours together. It gives you such a shimmery sunkissed golden glow. It blends really nicely and is very long-wearing.
I am so impressed with Physicians Formula and can’t wait to order more. What do you recommend?
