I have been trying out these products for around six weeks now and I’m obsessed. They are perfect for my dry and dehydrated skin and make it feel so comfortable and healthly.
Neutrogena Hydro Boost* is a new skincare range and there are 5 products – the Hydro Boost Micellar Water (£7.99 from Boots), Hydro Boost Water Gel Cleanser (£7.99), Hydro Boost Cleansing Facial Wipes (£4.99), Hydro Boost Water Gel (£12.99) and Hydro Boost Gel Cream (£12.99).
Healthy skin has a high percentage of water, which makes it look supple, plump and bouncy. This range works with your skin’s own natural moisture transport system to replenish and deliver hydration when your skin needs it most. This range, which is suitable for sensitive skin, contains a unique Hyaluronic Gel Matrix to deliver continuous hydration to the skin – it works by creating a hydration reservoir that your skin naturally uses when it needs it throughout the day. The Neutrogena Hyaluronic Gel Matrix is made up of Hyaluronic Acid (which is naturally found in skin and hydrates it), Glycerin (which rebuilds and replenishes your skin’s moisture barrier to keep that goodness locked in) and Olive Derivative (which helps to fortify that moisture barrier).
The Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel Cleanser is a cooling, lightweight gel cleanser that activates with water to lather away dirt, oil and makeup, whilst hydrating skin at the same time. This is such a lovely product to use, especially in the summer as it’s very refreshing. I’ve been using this in the mornings as it isn’t as effective at removing makeup as I’d like.
The Neutrogena Hydro Boost Micellar Water is a great 1st-stage makeup remover however. I use this on cotton pads to take off stubborn eye makeup and lip products before I go in with a balm cleanser to dissolve the rest. It too is really refreshing and leaves skin feeling hydrated and supple.
The final cleansing product in the range is the wipes. The Neutrogena Hydro Boost Cleansing Facial Wipes can remove waterproof makeup well, but unless you are travelling, you should be cleansing properly and not relying on these. They are, however, great to freshen up with on a no-makeup day and they aren’t at all drying on the skin like a lot of facial wipes can be. They are very soft and gentle on the skin too.
Onto the moisturisers, which are my favourite things in the range. The Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel and Gel Cream are incredible. The Water Gel is a very lightweight and instantly absorbing blue gel. It’s very refreshing on the skin and delivers an instant, intense hydration hit. This is such a nice product to use under makeup to make it apply a lot better, and also to wear under your normal moisturiser as an extra moisture boost. The Gel Cream is thicker and is a cross between a gel and a cream. This is recommended for extra dry skin as it delivers an even more intense level of hydration. This is a great morning moisturiser on it’s own as it’s very lightweight but very powerful.
Have you tried anything from this range before?
