Bourjois always do really unique and different seasonal collections that don’t always stick to the typically on-trend shades. I wanted to share with you my picks of their autumn makeup releases.
First up, let’s look at their incredibly pretty eyeshadow palette. The Bourjois Palette Les Nudes* (£11.99) is Bourjois’ first proper palette and you can pick it up from 28th September. It has a really cool and handy rotating mirror and contains eight shimmery pastel and nude tones.
I love the quality of the shadows in this palette. Each shade has a creamy texture that blends beautifully and they are all highly pigmented. My favourite shade is the fifth from the left as it’s a stunning orange-toned copper that’s perfect for autumn. You can do a really pretty dark smokey eye with this palette, wear each shade on their own or get a bit more playful with colour too.
Also out on 28th September is Bourjois’ new Sculpt Light Strobing Highlighter* (£11.99). This liquid highlighter comes in one universal shade that adapts to all skin tones. It has a pearlescent finish and looks so pretty dabbed along cheekbones and brow bones.
#46 Burgund’it, #45 Red-outable
There are also four new Rouge Edition 12-Hour Lipstick* (£7.99) shades out 28th September, and I am obsessed with shades #45 and #46. The burgandy one is my favourite and will look so good against my pale skin in autumn. These semi-matte lipsticks are really creamy in texture and comfortable to wear (they contain shea butter). They are also extremely pigmented and are long-lasting – not twelve hours for me, but around four before a re-application is needed.
Finally, I’m also loving one of the two new Rouge Edition Velvet Liquid Lipsticks* (£8.99). Shade #18 It’s Redding Men! is a bright tomato red with a hint of pink, that I can’t wait to wear on nights out. The formula is matte and it feels a little bit drying on the lips, but not uncomfortable. This lipstick really does stay put all night and doesn’t start to flake or wear-off in patches – it just gets increasingly more like a stain over time.
Will you be heading out to purchase any of these at the end of the month?
