As you’ll know by now, I love the Elizabeth Arden brand. Their makeup is always amazing. The latest collection from them is their Liquid Assets Colour Collection and it’s all about innovative liquid textures and shades that make an impact.
The collection consists of liquid lipsticks, a liquid highlighter and liquid eyeliners. There is one shade of highlighter and I’m obsessed – the Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Colour Bold Illuminating Liquid Highlighter in Champagne (£26 from Elizabeth Arden) is a limited edition product with that cushion dispensing technology that’s so popular at the moment. It is such a pretty cream-gold shade that looks really natural on the skin. I dab a little onto my cheekbones with my fingertip and it blends well.
The new Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Colour Bold Defining Liquid Eye Liner (£18) comes in two shades – brown and black – and the brown (02 Gilded Brown) is possibly the prettiest eyeliner that I’ve ever used. It’s brown, so has that natural look, but it also has a beautiful finely-milled sparkle to it that makes it that bit different. The tip of the applicator is really long and thin, so it’s incredibly easy to draw a steady line. Once it dries, it’s not going to budge all day either.
Finally, there are 8 shades of the new Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Colour Bold Liquid Lipstick (£18) that range from a subtle nude to a bright fushcia. You push what is essentially a switch on the lipstick to dispense a small amount of the product through a soft sponge on the end. You then use this sponge to apply directly onto your lips for a lovely smooth finish. The formula is highly-pigmented and has the texture of a thick gloss. I love it as it makes my lips look really plump and shiny.
Darling Beige, Luscious Raspberry
Pink Lover, Passionate Peach, Seductive Magenta
I have been trying out five of the eight shades and my favourite is definitely Darling Beige – the first swatch and the lightest and most subtle of the lot – as it looks amazing with a dark smokey eye – my go-to autumn look. The glossy finish does disappear after a couple of hours, or when you eat of drink, but it does leave a stain of colour behind. I just pop mine in my handbag to re-apply on the go as it’s so easy.
Overall, I am so impressed with this collection and I’d really recommend that you pick up at least one shade of all of the products to start the new season with.
