Sorry this post is a few days late. It’s time for me to share my fashion and lifestyle favourites for the month of September with you. It’s a real mixed bag, with shoes, clothing, books, food and lifestyle items.
Let’s start with fashion. I’ve been loving my new super-sparkly River Island Gold Glitter Trainers* (£24 from River Island) and my new New Look Curves Khaki Cold Shoulder V-Neck Jumper* (£19.99 from New Look). I got these from intu Braehead when I did a blogger fashion outfit shopping challenge with them – I created the whole look above for less than £100. The jumper is so soft and cosy and when I don’t want bare shoulders, I’ve just been wearing a black t-shirt underneath it.
A restaurant I’ve been loving this month is Cote Brasserie in Glasgow. Luckily for you, these are all over the UK. It’s a French restaurant that does amazing brunches and dinners. I’ve been a few times this month for both brunch* and dinner and have really enjoyed it. Their cinnamon french toast on their brunch menu is amazing, and their Evening Menu is such good value at £12.95 for 3 courses. They do such a good crumble for dessert.
Onto the lifestyle-ish items I’ve been loving, I think the new Zoella Lifestyle and Zoella Beauty releases are fabulous. You need to go out now and pick up the Zoella Beauty We Three Beauties Makeup Bag Collection (£18 from Feel Unique) from her Christmas range, as they are so versatile – i’m using the stiff pink glitter one as a Kindle case. They are really well made and such good value.
I also really love the new Zoella Lifestyle Seaside Stroll Candle (£10 from Superdrug). I know it’s autumn and I am typically burning more seasonal scents, but this one is a great daytime bathroom scent, before I start burning my relaxing lavender and rose scents when I’m in the bath at night. It’s a really fresh and light scent that makes you want to take a big breath of ‘fresh’ air.
Another scent that has been a big part of my month is from Neom. The Neom Perfect Night’s Sleep Pillow Mist (£20 from Neom) has been helping me sleep in bed at night. This stuff really works and it’s a beautiful lavender fragrance, with sweet basil and jasmine too. Taking a few breaths of this just slows my breathing down, calm my mind and help me drift off. Neom is such an amazing brand – you need to check out their Moments of Calm rose-scented candle too, as it’s divine.
Finally, a book I’ve really enjoyed in September is While My Eyes Were Closed by Linda Green. I listened to this as an Audible audiobook and was engrossed from start to finish. It’s a psychological thriller about a little girl who is kidnapped. It follows her after her kidnap, and her family as they deal with trying to find her. There is no evil here or violence – it’s a much more complicated tale that’s very sad and moving on all sides; but at the same time is very gripping and worrying.
What have you been loving recently? Have you tried any of these?
