The Sleek MakeUP Rockstars Collection*, aka the brand’s holiday collection, is another amazing launch from them. Everything in this line-up is so beautiful, so pigmented and such great quality. There’s everything you need for all your winter day, and festive party, looks.
There are two i-Lust eyeshadow palettes in the collection. These are slimline, with a great mirror, and contain 6 shadows each. The i-Lust Diamonds In The Rough Palette (£7.49 from Sleek MakeUP) contains the most beautiful sparkling champagne and metallic gold and rose gold shades. There are two creams and four powders. The cream shadows make great brow bone and inner corner highlighters and they also make a great eyeshadow base to help your powder shadows stick to, to last longer and look more vibrant.
The Sleek MakeUP Rockstars Collection (£7.49) is made up of 6 powder shadows in colourful metallic shades. The bright colours in this might scare a lot of people, but there are lots of really wearable ways you can incorporate them into your makeup look. Apply them just in the inner third of your eyelid for a pop of colour, or use them as eyeliners along your lower lash line. The silver shadow in this palette is incredible – it looks like molten metal. All of the shades in both i-Lust palettes have a really creamy formula and they just glide on this pigmented – you don’t need to build them up to achieve the effect in the swatches.
Also in the collection are two cream highlighters – one to go with each palette. The Strobing Souffle in Smoky Quartz (£7) is a dark gold-copper shade and the Strobing Souffle in Pink Opal is a light pink champagne shade. They have almost a whipped texture and these are both intense and glittery – you only need the smallest amount to get some fierce strobing action going on. Put some on the back of your hand and then lightly pat with your finger onto the areas of your face that you want to apply them to.
Finally, there are two lipsticks and these almost look too pretty to use – the bullets are cut like diamonds with lots of different facets. Again, there’s supposed to be one to go with each palette, but everything in this collection can be mixed and matched. The Lip VIP Lipstick in Scandalous (£5.50) is a dark red with a metallic finish, and the Lip VIP Lipstick in Superstar (£5.50) is a dark purple with a metallic finish. The formula is really creamy and comfortable on the lips and you get great long-lasting, highly pigmented colour from these.
