We’re only a few weeks into 2017 and already there have been lots of really amazing makeup releases. I wanted to share with you three new lip products that I instantly fell in love with. You’ll get so much wear out of them, now and right through spring.
The first is part of the new collaboration between MAC and Caitlyn Jenner. The collection is designed to be gender neutral (something we’ll see a lot more of from brands in 2017). The MAC X Caitlyn Jenner Cremesheen Glass in Beautifully Bare (£18 from MAC Cosmetics) is a pretty and non-sticky nude gloss that’s perfect for everyday wear or to team with heavy eye makeup for a night out. It has a really creamy texture, good pigmentation and smells good enough to eat.
The next product is part of another really interesting collaboration. Clinique have teamed up with popular colouring brand Crayola to re-package their Chubby Sticks For Lips in the iconic Crayola crayon design (£17.50 from Selfridges). You aren’t getting anything different in terms of formula, but these are cool-looking, limited edition collector’s items if you are a fan of the products. There are 8 shades and I have Wild Strawberry – a pink-toned red. The formula of the Chubby Sticks For Lips are really hydrating and conditioning and provide just a wash of colour – making them perfect for quick, on-the-go application.
Finally, we have a new SS17 release from Pixi. The Pixi by Petra GelTint and SilkGloss in FreshGloss & BeachTint (£14 from M&S Beauty) has a long-lasting and hydrating brick red lip tint on one end, and a non-sticky orange lip gloss on the other. You can wear them seperately, or layer them on top of each other to create a vibrant, glossy tomato red look. I think that this is such a unique colour – I definitely don’t have anything else like it in my collection.
Are you excited by the look of any of these?
