This month’s Look Fantastic Beauty Box* (subscriptions from £13 per month from Look Fantastic) comes with a free Elle Magazine. I’m pleased to see this continuing into the new year as it makes the boxes incredible value for money. The theme of January’s box is about the adventure of discovering new beauty products and overhauling your routine. The contents are amazing, so be prepared to be wowed.

There are six products in the box – a mixture of full-size and deluxe sample/travel-size – and you get that month’s copy of Elle Magazine too, which is worth over £4. I am so impressed with January’s box – the products are all amazing and I love that it contains makeup, skincare and haircare items.

Let’s start with the makeup items (my favourites). There is a full-size Trifle Cosmetics Liquid Glow (worth £15.96). This is a pink-toned liquid illuminator that looks amazing on the cheekbones to highlight and give you a rosy glow. It’s cruelty-free, hypoallergenic, free from chemical nasties and is formulated with Cocoa Butter to nourish and hydrate the skin. Not only is the product great, but the packaging is so cute too.

Next, there’s a mascara that i’ve wanted to try for such a long time. The full-size Jelly Pong Pong Fairy Lashes Curl Mascara (worth £17.95) has a big, fat bristled brush, which I love. It gives great volume and a great curl, which is held in place throughout the day with the formula’s Moringa Seed Resin. This is also cruelty-free, hypoallergenic and free from chemical nasties.

There are two great brow products in the box. The Vintage Cosmetic Company Rose Gold Slanted Tweezers (worth £8) are really good. The slanted tip allows you to get better precision. The other brow product is a full-size Pixi Brow Tamer (worth £12). This clear, fast-drying brow gel keeps your brow look in place all day and contains soothing Aloe Vera and moisturising Panthenol.

There’s one skincare product in the box and it’s a deluxe sample size. The Nuxe Nuxelance Eclat Lotion Tonique Douce (full-size is £12.60) is a gentle toner infused with rose petals and coconut to nourish the skin and shrink pores without casuing any irritation. It also contains inflamation-reducing Passion Flower and hydrating Hyaluronic Acid, and it instantly brightens the skin.

The haircare product is a deluxe sample size of the cult Briogeo Don’t Despair Repair! Deep Conditioning Mask. I’ve used this quite a few times before getting this box and really like it. It’s free from chemical nasties and is a great all-round rescue remedy for dry, damaged or dull hair. It contains nourishing and hydrating Avocado Oil and B-Vitamin Complex and really makes your hair look and feel healthier.
