I’m back after my Christmas break! I wanted to share with you some of the things that I got for Christmas this year – a mixture of gifts from friends, family and Secret Santas. I love to read these types of posts and watch these types of YouTube videos as they give me great inspiration on things to treat myself with. I took these photos live as I opened my presents on Christmas Day, so they aren’t the best in terms of composition.
First up, I got a big Sephora haul from my Mum and it contained some of the amazing Sephora Favourites sets. I adore these as they are a great way to try out brands you haven’t used before. Each set contains between 5-10 luxury samples from high-end and US brands stocked at Sephora and they release new ones throughout the year. This Christmas I got the Beauty Unmasked set, which contains 5 face mask tubes, pots and hydrogels from the likes of Glam Glow, Caudalie and Shiseido. I also got the Hair Rescue set that’s full of 9 hair mask and hair conditioner sachets, pots and tubes – including Ouai, Verb and Living Proof. Finally, I got the Scouted by Sephora set, which contains 8 different skincare products that Sephora have scouted out as being amazing – these include the Jurlique Rosewater Mist, Tata Harper Purifying Mask and a Herbivore lip balm.
I did a lot of blogger Secret Santa gift swaps this year – some of them remained mysterious and some identified themselves. From Adele at Adele Louise Smith I got such a cute marble ‘L’ trinket dish and No.7 Lip Crayon Trio. From other Secret Santas, some of the gifts included a pretty slogan notebook, lots of Yankee Candle wax tarts and votives, a Korean LadyKin blusher (that I can’t wait to try), a US Wet ‘n’ Wild eyeshadow palette. I also did a craft bloggers Secret Santa (#CBloggersSecretSanta) and my Secret Santa was Llinos from The Lilac Linnet. We had to send a gift we had made (she sent me a pretty decoupage cat ornament) as well as at least £3 worth of other gifts. I love the mini Christmas adult colouring book she added into mine.
Some other things that my Mum got me that I wanted to share with you include this amazing clutch bag from Miss Selfridge, a cool old triangle hair clip from Oliver Bonas, some luxurious Sugarfina Champagne Bears and a stripey gold and black ‘L’ trinket dish. My friend Julie also got me a Little Miss Blogger mug which made me squeal with delight when I opened it, as did my friend Ayden from Little Blog of Horrors with her ASOS unicorn socks complete with stick up horns.
My beautiful gifts from my friend Lynsay (from Miss West End Girl) included this epic Hustle pencil case and these cool patches that I am going to put on something very soon – I can’t wait! I also love that my friend Lori (Glasgow Beauty Blogger) got me some more of the Primark VelvetGh0st stationery range as she knows I love YouTube.
I also got quite a few books. Ayden also got me Everyday Happiness: 365 Ways to a Joyful Life and my Mum got me The Little Book of Mindfulness. My Mum also got me Fleur de Force’s most recent book The Luxe Life and Vogue UK editor Alexandra Shulman’s book Inside Vogue: A Diary of My 100th Year.
I, of course, had to get myself some presents too. Every year I get myself a new blog planner and a new diary. This year I got mine from Calendar Club and I got a unicorn paperclip and a planner band from an Etsy seller. I also got myself my Christmas cards for next year (yes, it’s early I know) – I chose these personalised Kate Spade ones from Paperless Post and I love them as they look so chic.
Finally, I wanted to share with you the Thank You cards that I am sending out this week for my Christmas gifts. These are also personalised Kate Spade from Paperless Post and I love them – they are perfect for someone who is beauty-obsessed like me.
What do you like the look of?
