If you are a fan of a nude lip, you’ll be in heaven with Bare Minerals’ new Gen Nude collection – four different finishes with 15 nude shades in each (5 with the liners). There’s something to suit everyone and I’ve already showcased one of the lip gloss shades in a post here. Today, I have four more shades – one in each of the different finishes – to show you.
I’m a lip gloss addict at the moment, so this is my favourite of the four types of lip product that Bare Minerals have just released in their Gen Nude collection. The Gen Nude Buttercream Lipgloss in Fly* (£17 from Bare Minerals) has such a nice formula and sweet vanilla scent. This shade is such a pretty pale nude that will lighten your lips (as these glosses are quite pigmented and offer medium coverage) and will add high shine. They feel really creamy and non-sticky on the lips and they contain ingredients to condition, plump and moisturise.
Just as comfortable on the lips are their new matte liquid lipsticks. The Gen Nude Matte Liquid Lipcolour in Boss* (£17 from Bare Minerals) also has a really creamy texture and isn’t drying on the lips. As it’s creamier and more comfortable, it does take quite a bit longer to dry that some other matte liquid lipsticks. This shade is a brown with hints of red and on my skin tone it really darkens my lips. It’s long-lasting, lightweight and incredibly full-coverage.
The Gen Nude Under Over Lip Liner in On Point* (£14 from Bare Minerals) is an almost perfect shade match for the matte liquid lipstick I have above. This liner has a matte finish and can be worn on its own or under another lip product. It is quite drying on the lips if you wear it on its own, but I find that it’s great at helping the matte liquid lipstick to last longer and look more defined. It’s also a great way to darken up some of the lighter lip gloss shades.
Finally, the Gen Nude Radiant Lipstick in Baby* (£18 from Bare Minerals) is a very pale, 60’s-style pink. These lipsticks have the feeling of a lip balm but they are really quite pigmented and offer medium coverage. You do need to keep re-applying these throughout the day, but as the formula is so moisturising, I enjoy this.
What are you loving from the new Bare Minerals Gen Nude collection? Or how about the whole nude lip trend in general?
