Since the success of the Kylie Lip Kits from Kylie Jenner, so many brands have been bringing out matte liquid lipsticks with matching lip liners. I really like Barry M as a brand, so I was keen to try their offering – the Matte Me Up Lip Kits.

I’ve been trying out all three of the kits (you can also buy their matte liquid lipsticks on their own without the liners). The Barry M Matte Me Up Lip Kit in Pose (£6.99 from Superdrug stores) is my favourite. It’s a lovely muted pink-toned nude that suits my skin really well, in a ‘your lips but better’ kind of way. The liners are soft, creamy, pigmented and apply easily. The liquid lipsticks are very wet, so you only need the one thin coat to get the colour opaque. They do take a couple of minutes to dry down properly to matte, but they are comfortable to wear and difficult to budge once they are on. I am so impressed with these and have been really enjoying using them.

The other two shades are Go To (above) and Runway (below). Go To is a dark brown-toned nude, and Runway is a bright, deep raspberry.
