I’ve been testing out a few sheet masks from the Korean brand BioAqua, so I thought I’d group them together in a Face Mask Friday post for you, so you can see which might suit your skin best.

The BioAqua Hyaluronic Acid Charcoal Facial Sheet Mask (£6 for 5 from MySchemingUK) looks and feel like a standard fibre sheet mask, except it’s black in colour instead of white. It fits really well onto the contours of the face and you wear it for 20 minutes before removing and massaging any excess serum into your skin. This Bamboo Charcoal fibre mask is infused with Hyaluronic acid to really hydrate and plump the skin. It leaves your skin feeling very smooth, plump and firm; so is perfect to use before applying makeup for a night out.

The BioAqua Collagen With Hyaluronic Acid Super Facial Sheet Mask (£9 for 3 from MySchemingUK) is the weirdest of the bunch in terms of appearance. Instead of coming sealed in a pouch, this fibre sheet mask comes inside a glass vial of serum and you pick it out with tweezers that are enclosed in the box. 

Most skincare experts don’t think that the size of collagen molecules can penetrate the skin this way; but regardless of that, this mask still really improves the look of lines and wrinkles. It contains the skin plumping and hydrating Hyaluronic Acid, which leaves your skin looking and feeling very smooth and firm. You also get a lovely glow to your skin after using this – probably from some of the natural plant extracts it contains. As these products are packaged in Korean, you’ll never fully know what’s in them, so you just have to trust that they’re good for your skin.

Finally, the last mask I tried is the BioAqua Seaweed Extract With Hyaluronic Acid Face Cotton Mask. This cotton fibre mask is infused with a serum that’s designed to deeply hydrate and moisturise the skin. It contains Hyaluronic Acid (to hydrate and plump), Oat Beta Glucan (to deeply moisturise the skin and calm redness), Aloe Extract (to soothe) and Seaweed Extract (to increase moisture retention). Again, you keep this on for around 20 minutes and your skin will feel cool, refreshed and hydrated. Ideal for after a day in the sun.
